Evan and Tera and Porn in General

While it isn’t going to get anywhere near as much ink as Tiger Woods, the split between Evan and Tera is taking a turn towards the ugly.

With the release of Tera’s book she claims Evan chose porn over her and Evan claims she hates the biz and doesn’t like sex.

Yawn.

This could be just cheap PR for her book, well orchestrated, but I somehow doubt it.

Porn Valley is slow, between the endless onslaught of mainstream parodies and diminishing sales, one has to wonder what the future will hold for the biz.

Cal-OSHA has porns barely alive head on the chopping block too.  A condom mandate would pretty much knock out all of the gonzo oriented companies, and imagine what it would do to AIM….

But the biz has been in trouble for a long time, the internet has pretty much taken over, there are far more internet based companies advertising in AVN these days than video companies, sucking the last little bit of life out of Porn Valley’s comatose body. Porn Valley was too slow to adapt, they didn’t get it, allowing the web to eat away at their market share until they woke up one morning and found themselves mired up in a tarpit of their own creation.

As the decade comes to a close we wll likely look back on the 2000s as the best of times and the worst of times. Kinda like Tera and Evan.

  1. Luckily, California can only regulate in their state. What the gonzo companies will do (and some already have) is start/move to Miami and then it will be business as usual. It will be California’s loss and Florida’s gain if California mandates condoms. I haven’t heard of too many cases of state government interference with the porn industry so far in Florida (that could change, but I doubt it will anytime soon).
