I got this from Luke Lirot, Attorney for bigdoggie.net:

By way of introduction, my name is Luke Lirot and I am participating as an attorney for one of the individuals who has been targeted for prosecution based on allegations which I can only call “mystifying” from my perspective. Based on extensive research, it appears that the purpose of this website is simply to allow individuals in a free society to exchange ideas and information on any number of issues. Due to the outrageous allegations which were disseminated as part of a press release, there have been several rumors and unwanted, unnecessary paranoia on the part of people who simply do not understand this website or are not familiar with the presumption of innocence that attaches to anyone accused of wrong-doing. Before rushing to judgment, we would urge everyone to wait for all of the evidence to be presented and not rely only on these outrageous
allegations.

First, it should be noted that law enforcement agencies concerned with issuing press releases must surely arouse curiosity as to why they would become involved in such a unique and questionable extension of their normal responsibilities. It is not now, nor has it ever been the purpose of this website to engage in any other activity beyond the exercise of First Amendment rights. Thomas Jefferson said, “the price of liberty is eternal vigilance”. It is this inspiration, which I share with my client, that will serve as the theme of our efforts to protect and preserve the First Amendment rights of all people in any way involved in this website.

Many, many people have contacted my office to express their support and inquire as to how they might contribute, financially or otherwise to our efforts to resolve these issues. These people range from fans of this website to other individuals who are simply interested in protecting the internet as the truest line of communication and greatest example of the power of First Amendment rights.

Please understand that this not a solicitation or request to contribute – however, for those of you who are interested in contributing to the legal defense of those that have been wrongly accused in this matter, you may send your contribution to the address listed below.

Hey Luke by all means let me know if ya get a check from “The Free Speech Coalition”

I have said it before and I will say it again, making it illegal to sell something that is perfectly legal to give away is just plain stupid. Get off your asses people and help us Libertarians put a stop to this monumental waste of our tax dollars.
