Earlier today, we reported on how ex-Pakistan High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit mistook American porn stud Johnny Sins for a stone-pelting rebel from Kashmir who lost his eyesight to gunfire.
In a now-deleted tweet, Basit shared a dramatic photograph bearing the caption: “Yousuf from Ananthnag [sic] lost vision from pellet… pls raise your voice.”
The photo Basit retweeted is, in actuality, a promotional still from a porn movie. The man and the woman pictured are performers Johnny Sins and Angelina Valentine in a scene for Brazzers (NSFW link).
After the folks at Brazzers gave our wrote-up a hilarious signal boost on Twitter, all hell broke loose. Apparently Basit’s bizarre gaffe reading the trouble in Kashmir is one of the biggest stories to hit South Asia since the 1947 partition.
There’s more than a little geo-political bitterness and straight-up enmity in the responses, but there’s also a good deal of humor.

They don’t think much of Johnny in Pakistan and India, do they? The guy put Johnny on a 1000 (Indian) Rupee note — equivalent to about 14 USD as of Sept. 5, 2019. He should have been on the 10,000 Rupee note (there isn’t a higher currently circulating note in India) if they really liked him. The guy also should have put a picture of Johnny fucking his wife up the ass on that note, not just a facial shot.
Whoops! I didn’t realize that Pakistan also used the Rupee. A 1000 Pakistani Rupee note is worth $6.38. That is an insult to Johnny to be put on such a note. I still say the picture should have had him fucking his wife up the ass, too.
