There’s a fox in the hen house

So we are clear, a labor union is protected under federal, state, and international law.

  • It’s not a money-making scheme.
  • It’s not a way to promote your business.

A company that tries to organize a labor union actually has a name – Yellow Union.

The practice was outlawed in the United States in 1935, under the National Labor Relations Act. There are also international laws against it as well. But that issue aside, it’s just in bad taste.

What company uses the plight of the performers in our industry as a marketing opportunity?

I mean, talk about tacky.

I’m not going to name names … not tonight. But to this company, I want you to know. I SEE YOU. I know what you are doing.

I will be on the phone with the California Department of Labor, and that’s just the start.

I will not let you exploit vulnerable performers to market your stupid company.

I’ve spent the last 20 years working as a performer advocate. Never once have you stepped up to the plate and offered your assistance. I’m not going to let you exploit vulnerable performers so that you can market your company on their pain and suffering.

What kind of sick person does this in the first place?

What is wrong with you that you ever thought that would be a good idea in the first place?
