New reviews are up and things are getting back to normal around here…whatever that is.
I do want to take this opportunity to thank a couple of people who I could not have done without in Canada. Mark Nakamura and Beater….you guys are the best.
The Real Story at the KSEX Awards:
Wasn’t the awards themselves, but this….Kevin Moore was sent to cover the show by AVN. Now Wankus is trying to get AVN to be a bit more receptive of KSEX and this could be seen as a sort of olive branch or at least an attempt to give KSEX a little more PR.
So what happens when Kevin arrives with his camera? He is told he must pay 20.00. Kevin explains that he is there taking pics for AVN, he is told 20.00. Kevin flags down Wankus and says “What do I do here?” Wankus says “Pay the 20.00”. So kevin does.
Wankus says Kevin can expense the 20.00 to AVN and he should pay just like everyone else.
In all industries trade press are given special consideration, for example I don’t always see eye to eye with AVN but they always comp me press passes to Internext and Adult Expo. I would never charge AVN either, it’s called professional courtesy. Besides there IS value in having AVN cover your event, there is also value in having them cover it favorably.
Wankus got his 20.00 and in my opinion that’s about how much coverage AVN should have given his show.
