I’d like to voice my opinions to you, but I’m fairly certain that my ass will get REALLY fired should those opinions show up on a website. It feels cowardly to have to be anonymous, but I guess I’d rather be anonymous than homeless.
My opinions come from a slightly different place, but closer to where Adella is. I’m a female, I work in a porn store, and I love this industry. I break my ass, I never stop working, and I’m always reading, learning, searching for more info and insight on this industry that has fascinated me for more than half of the years that I have been alive.
My mother is confused and slightly dismayed by it, but I’m doing my best to change her mind about it. Is something like what Jimmy D. did going to help that? Yes, yes it is. And it’s all going right down the fucking toilet once things are decided in the obscenity trials, or if this boolsheet about that manky fuck of an agent who’s decided to “pre-book” a couple of 17 year-olds hits the mainstream media.
I get people asking me how I, as a female, can stand looking at this all the time. They ask if I feel degraded as a woman, don’t I see women degraded all the time, blah blah blah. The honest answer is that no, I don’t see women degraded all the time. Only when I venture into certain sections of my store. But then again, that’s why I keep Max in the corner furthest from my counter.
There are some degrading things going on in this business. I won’t deny that. The reason I’m so up in arms, though, is that it’s taken such extreme actions on both sides of the Ethics fence to suddenly realize that Integrity is a fucking rare commodity these days. Rare and precious. Yeah, I’m all about making money, but I’m in the unfortunate position of A) working retail and B) being a licensed owner/operator of a vagina, and those things apparently make me stupid. After all, what could we possibly know about business OR porn? We’re just women, for fuck’s sake!
I want to work in this industry SO. Fucking. Badly. but with all the bullshit that keeps popping up, it makes me despair. I guess that’s why I’m following all of this so closely, other than the fact that it effects the industry in which I currently make my livelihood. I’m lookin’ to see who’s got the ethics, who’s got the integrity, and who to stay the fuck away from should I ever be able to make it out to the AEE. But I’m comin’ to look for you and Jimmy D. , cuz those are a couple of hands I need to shake.

I don’t really think you’re surprised by the church’s reaction. Certainly you have been doing this long enough now to know that the “church” must protect its image—often at the cost of the call to be salt and light in this world.
Let’s wrap ourselves up in a little world— (I think whoever envisioned the Walgreens television campaign of “living in perfect” must have been a pastor.)
Well I realize that our little church doesn’t carry much clout in the scheme of things. We’re not the CNN or Fox News of the church world, but I admire you, I honor you and I fully support what you are doing. Tyler Cash’s testimony sure beats some of the sanctimonious things I have had to endure as a Pastor when you ask, “whose got a testimony for the Lord?” Oh listen I am not down on the church— this is Christ’s body and I love her with all my heart. But I readily admit that there are days when I can say it’s a good thing I know that God has called me as a Pastor because it’s a lot nicer in the bars so often than it is in the church.
So guys— I see that our Lord saw fit to call you to a place where few will ever say they go– ( and I for one am glad He did) The silence from the church comes from the deafening fear of being found out– not a truly holy place spot. I think I’d like to have you and Jimmy D and Tyler Cash over for some chicken and ribs on the Bar B Q one day— so if you’re ever in Florida– we’ll leave the light on for you!

Anyone who thinks these two porn pastors aren’t serious are in for a big shock. This is not the end of anything they are going to keep moving and no matter what gets in the way they will find someway to move it.
