Legalized Murder: Killed by ICE

Legalized Murder is the final outcome regardless of whatever theatrics the legal system, government and media might resort to. Ultimately the ICE agent who fatally shot Renee Good is expendable, so if there is too much media backlash, he’ll be denounced and sacrificed by the rulers of this nation. But the attempts to spin the incident and defend man, show that questioning our leader’s or their heavy-handed enforcers, will not be tolerated. Our subjugators have nothing but contempt for the mass public. So expect more unarmed, argumentative people to be killed for the benefit of this nation’s authority. Being able to kill others without consequence is the greatest illustration that citizenship is only a new label on an ancient construct: Slavery.

Legalized murder can be read as the terminal point of a master-slave relationship. It’s the moment when authority is so absolute that the master no longer sees intrinsic human value, only property. Therefore he feels justified with the lawful right to dispose of his slave as property. The chattel of classical slavery was owned outright and could be worked, traded, punished, or destroyed at the owner’s discretion with minimal or no legal consequence. Since it’s abolishment, such conditions were thought to be ancient history.

Donald Trump – Small Penis or Gay

Yet when the state can kill without fear of consequences, while insisting those subject to its jurisdiction are “citizens”, the monikers are the only new concept. The rhetoric changes, but the hierarchy does not. Because when an authority can legally end your life, your body is no longer fully your own and citizenship is only a guise for managed ownership rather than genuine freedom and individual liberty.

Freedom comes at a price

January 7, 2026, in Minneapolis, a U.S. Immigration officer shot and killed a U.S. citizen. Repeatedly shot, point blank, the mother of three, doesn’t fit the profile of a violent individual. Whatever her opinions on President Trump and ICE, she didn’t merit being gunned down. No inquiry, criminal court or political rhetoric will heal the pain inflicted upon her children. But perhaps the true tragedy is that her death will be misconstrued or soon forgotten. Because 5,000 years of repeated history proves that the general public fail to acknowledge when they’re effectively owned.

Modern citizenship resembles “neo-feudal serfdom”. From one perspective, it seems that the citizenship of contemporary liberal democracies represents freedom, legal equality and a mechanism for democratically participating in the governing process of one’s society. However, the educated consensus on the contemporary democratic process is that we are undergoing Democratic Backsliding.  This term was coined to explain the increase in disenfranchised voters who see growth the number of promises broken and the economic divide, between those who govern and those who vote.   Political participation for today’s citizens, replicate those structural limitations and obligations associated with feudalism, albeit cloaked in the language of “freedom” and “rights” and “choice.”

Modern Slave Owners

Like a slave owner, the ruling class holds their position with the use of violence. They make laws to protect their interests above all else, and change or alter the interpretation of these laws as it suits them. When society is working to their liking, the slaves mostly self-police their behavior. But everyone has a breaking point, and sometimes the threat of violence is not enough to dissuade someone who believes that he’s out of options. This is the true reason why law enforcement carries guns and is allowed to intimidate members of the general public.

In order for the threat of violence to be taken seriously, ever so often, someone must be tragically killed. The irony is that it doesn’t matter who is sacrificed, private citizen or police officer, both will achieve beneficial results. A dead officer justifies stricter enforcement and recruiting more. Whereas, the public killing of an individual results in the general public’s fear and compliance.

Revolution and Civil-War are not solutions

The inevitable outcome of a revolution is little different than rotating political parties at election time. History has shown that after a brief period of time, the new regime begins to look and feel like the old regime. Furthermore, warfare is big business. So not only do citizens lose lives, but ultimately many of the same individuals within the wealthy and ruling classes, get enriched by selling the tools of war.

Since ancient Mesopotamia, the only effective method of destroying the Master-slave relationship created by governments is to refuse to feed the billionaires and shun the authorities. It’s a tactic exposed by Mahatma Ghandi in which non-compliance and refusing to acknowledge the state’s claims of mastery over others is used to topple it. But, it appears to require a charismatic leader to rally the public. Also, if the attitude displayed by the ICE agent is indicative of law enforcement in general, it would mean a slaughter of the first groups to stand in solidarity and non-compliance.

Most prefer the “safety” of the status quo

The proverbial pat on the back makes them oblivious to the jackboot on their throat. The average person wants to be led and made to feel safe. They require positive reinforcement and continuous praise. Corralling the public into doing what is wanted is as easy as calling them heroes for staying 6 ft apart and wearing face masks. Therefore, being free requires leaving society and being able to live off grid. Cavemen were the most free and each individual was capable of feeding and taking care of himself. But, living like this involves a level of personal responsibility, that the majority of modern society is either unwilling or unable to accept.

Keep your head down and mind your own business is arguably the slogan of medieval serfs. Today, it’s a few weeks of outrage, followed by wondering what’s on Netflix. Renee Good’s death is legalized murder because the general public will forget about her within a month. Our masters, the ruling class and their financial elite friends, own the Internet and it’s proven itself to be more effective than a slaver’s whip.

Feudalism is alive and flourishing

The 21st century is 25% over and feudalism has returned with a vengeance.  Anyone who is not a billionaire is now effectively a serf.  Before you argue, look at the academic comparisons between serfdom of 1,000 years ago and citizenship of today.  At least in the dark ages, a peasant could leave their owner knowing that with enough physical distance they were likely safe.  Today, citizens of all nations are digitally and biometrically tracked and shipped back to their owners.

The widespread participation in digital tracking and biometric branding, makes it a hard sell to convince anyone they are part of global tag and release program.  But just like a wild bear whose natural habitat is increasingly encroached apon by developers, the  options as to where we can go and live in this world are shrinking.  This aligns with serfdom in two ways; first in an obligation to stay put. This limited ability to move, has us begging another master to accept us, or sent back where we came from for not following protocol.  (The whole purpose of ICE). Second, we are expected to have some sort of allegiance to that (Master/Nation/Overlord) which claims us, just because of the circumstances of our birth.

The remaining parallels between citizens and the serfs of old are financial in nature. The extremely unequal balance of power is predicated by wealth. A chasm that grows as the citizen-serf contributes through obligation in labor and wealth. This economic dependence becomes a sort of indebted servitude.  Money extracted through taxes, licenses and certifications which become more arduous with every passing year and an ever demanding government.

Conclusion: Citizenship’s Paradox

Modern citizenship remains rhetorically tied to ideals of freedom, self-government, and equality. Yet a rigorous comparative analysis shows enduring patterns historically associated with feudal serfdom. Specifically practical limits on mobility, lack of political influence and economic independence, and legal equality. On the surface modern states have institutionalized rights beyond feudal privilege, but the recent legalized murder, and callous response, should have every citizen questioning if they have any rights at all.

But ultimately, the average person is comfortable in his position. His belief in the rhetoric holds him in place like a rock in the ground. It’s not until he is trampled upon directly that he sees the problem, and by then he is part of the road, incapable of moving. He doesn’t read, he repeats whatever the media tells him to think, and he gets upset at anyone who doesn’t act like him. The citizen paradox then only exists for those who seek individual agency. Perhaps in light of a neo-feudal system, we need a third option between citizen and overlord for those able to handle responsibility, who also don’t wish to rule. At least then, those who deserved it would be free.
