Back in the news is a 1972 essay that socialist presidential candidate Bernie Sanders wrote for the Vermont Freeman, an alternative newspaper. His apologists say the article, called, “Man-and-Woman,” is merely a commentary on gender roles.
It begins:
“A man goes home and masturbates his typical fantasy. A woman on her knees, a woman tied up, a woman abused.”
“A woman enjoys intercourse with her man — as she fantasizes being raped by 3 men simultaneously.”
Regardless of whether one chooses to live that Sanders,who is now 78, was merely commenting on gender roles, he is writing from the point of view that men generally fantasize about raping women and that women generally fantasize about being raped.
This bizarre essay first came to light in 2015 during the last presidential campaign. Sanders’ then-spokesman Michael Briggs called the essay a “dumb attempt at dark satire in an alternative publication” in an interview with CNN, adding that it “in no way reflects his views or record on women.” He added, “It was intended to attack gender stereotypes of the ’70s, but it looks as stupid today as it was then.”
Hmmmm, okay. . . .
But a few years later, 34-year old Sanders wrote a newspaper article saying “old bitch” teachers cause boys to grow up and have cancer:
In other news, Bernie Sanders praised former Cuban dictator Fidel Castro’s “massive literacy program” Sunday on CBS’ “60 Minutes” program.
He told host Anderson Cooper:
“You know? When Fidel Castro came into office, you know what he did? He had a massive literacy program. Is that a bad thing? Even though Fidel Castro did it?”
Cooper played a 1985 interview with Sanders on government-access Vermont TV, in which the senator said the Castro regime “educated their kids, gave them healthcare” and “totally transformed the society.”
He sure did transform it! Some other transformative things Castro did included rounding up gays and sending them to concentration camps, and torturing, imprisoning and murdering dissidents.
Also, Cuba’s increase in literacy rates tracks with similar increases in nearby countries such as Costa Rica, which means socialism was not required to accomplish the improvement.
And speaking of cancer, perhaps there is a cancer on the Democratic primaries. . . .

No one claimed it was worse, however you are using Trump’s crude quote out of context. He said that when you’re rich and famous, you can get away with boorish behavior, i.e., “you can grab ’em by the pussy,” and this is actually a not-untrue statement.
As for excusing Sanders’ writing as “hentai”, I think there is other evidence (such as the ‘old bitch’ essay) that casts some doubt on that construction.
I also never said Sanders was “the” cancer here, just the cancer on the Democrat primaries. Reading is fundamental.
