There was a recent L. A. Times article about how porn production has plummeted because of Measure B. While over the last 5 years production HAS plummeted it isn’t because of Measure B, that is ridiculous. It has stabilized over the last year or two and hasn’t really dropped, what it has done is gone underground.
I talked to one producer who told me:
“In the last couple weeks I’ve been looking for locations in the SFV [The San Fernando Valley] to shoot at for a new client. In the past, I’ve shot at some of these locations, and all of them used to want a permit pulled to keep everything legal. Now, the location owners don’t want permits pulled, and two of the owners I spoke to specifically mentioned Measure B and the generally unfriendly attitude of the authorities to porn shoots. ”
“I also spoke to an agent about locations and he told me that several of his big clients now have the models go to a location for makeup, but then they’re driven to the actual shoot location after makeup is completed. That way the address on the call sheet is not the location where filming is done. “
I spoke with a performer who added to this:
“A lot of companies insist that the models don’t publish on social media–Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc., that they’re shooting for them. More than one company, I’ve heard, will cancel the shoot on the spot if the model violates this rule.”
In some case internet stalkers have also been known to use social media posts to harass models for shooting for certain individuals, l but I digress.
This all does have one small silver lining though, it appears to be drawing at least some of the industry back into a more cohesive unit and it appears to be weeding out a lot of people in an over saturated market. What it doesn’t really address is the decentralization of it all, ten years ago pretty much all porn was shot in the San Fernando Valley that really isn’t the case anymore, the internet has globalized production.

@fair4ca @MikeSouth1226 no promotion on Twitter anymore?
I still don’t understand why they don’t simply IGNORE Measure B. That’s EXACTLY what the local politicians AND law enforcement have done with any of the other voter-passed props they didn’t agree with. There’s STILL forced bussing in the schools, even though it was overwhelmingly voted out in 1979, and in 1986 the English-only prop was passed, but obviously never enforced. And you’ll notice illegal aliens are still receiving public services, even though that was voted against years ago. Politicians were blatantly saying things on camera like “”My district didn’t vote for it so I won’t enforce it”, while the Chief of Police said he wouldn’t act on it until it was “officially” written into law.
Fuck Michael Whiteacre. All he is,is a 47-48 year old retarded wannabee 4″ inch dick troll. Nobody should give him any information
on any shoots or locations at all. Otherwise, he’ll show up and
claim to be some reporter for TheRetardedPornwikiLeaks.com
and try to suck the Directors and Male talent’s dick.
Ventura county is the hot spot for shooting.
Which is evidently now called Measure B http://t.co/CTD5gVoNKe
Do you think guys like Aiden Riley from Belladonna Ent. care about permits when all his shoots are done in his house ?
I envy Ari Bass because He gets a hot, young, medicated whore with big tits to eat out his ass every night.
Its election season, the vice squad will seize the opprtunity to use Measure B to make sure they look good.
