Here is the background. A neighbor of a gay couple (males) in Texas didn’t much like his gay neighbors. He waited until they started having sex and he called the police and said that a man was going crazy next door. The cops come, burst into the residence and catch the gay couple in an act of anal sex (defined as sodomy by Texas Law) The gay males are arrested and charged with Sodomy. This case made it all the way to the Supreme Court.
Texas law defined sodomy as either anal or oral sex between members of the SAME sex. 4 or 5 other states had similar laws and 13 states had laws defining sodomy as encompassing members of the opposite sex as well.
Today’s Supreme Court ruling struck down all of these sodomy laws.
Judge Scalia commented that the Supreme Court had “signed on to the homosexual agenda”. Well Judge Scalia, if the homosexual agenda would prevent the government from dictating what consenting adults can do in the privacy of their own home then sign me up.
