Adult performer alleges talent agency made false representations
CLEARWATER — An adult performer is suing a talent agency, alleging breach of contract and unjust enrichment.
Jaymie Gillespie of Hillsborough County filed a complaint Sept. 7 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against Brian O’Malley, also known as Riley Reynolds, and Hussie Models LLC, alleging violation of the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act.
According to the complaint, between January and March 2018, Gillespie performed in multiple video productions as an adult talent for the defendants, to which she agreed to be compensated as a model/performer/actress in the representation agreement.
However, Gillespie says, despite complying with all the defendants’ requests, her income was collected by Hussie Models, which said she had accumulated an unacceptable level of arrears in her rent at the defendants’ motel and other expenses. The plaintiff alleges, contrary to what was promised to her in the contract, the defendants had no authority to withhold funds from money collected on her behalf.
The plaintiff alleges O’Malley and Hussie Models utilized coercion to gain, secure, or ensure Gillespie’s cooperation or acquiescence to continue exploitation and collected proceeds directly from a pattern of criminal activity.
Gillespie seeks a trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, injunctive relief, attorney fees, costs of litigation, and all other appropriate and just relief. She is represented by attorney Brandon K. Kolb of St. Petersburg.
