There is no doubt that there are a lot of douche bags in the adult industry. There’s the story of the girl who tricked a girl into doing a private. There is the story of the guy who tricked a girl into a blowjob then canceled the scene on her and refused to pay. There is the story of the guy who started outing girls real names because they put him on their no list because he was a hi-risk cross over. There is the story of the guy who had syphilis and faked his STD test and infected countless performers.
I could go on and on and on. Sadly, the adult industry isn’t made up of perfect little angels.
But luckily when we find out about shit that goes down, for the most part, we unite and put a stop to it.
I give the adult industry credit for that. For the most part, over the years they have stood united against abuses.
But sometimes we get blamed for shit we just didn’t do. Like the guy today, we claimed he was a porn producer and tricked at least 6 chicks into banging him, recorded it, as if it were a scene and then never paid them.
When they complained about not getting paid, he sent the explicit footage to their friends, family, and employers.
Today’s story is about a 34-year-old man from Missouri who told girls they were doing a porn audition. He told them they would be paid for the audition tapes at a later time.
He would recruit girls saying he worked for “Playboy Worldwide” or “Playboy Asia”. And shockingly girl after girl fell for his scam.
He said that the girls would be paid thousands of dollars for each audition, of which were filmed.
Mario Antoine ended up being charged with 21 counts in federal court, ranging from wire fraud to cyberstalking and extortion.
He ended up taking a plea deal where he would only have to serve 10 years in a federal prison without the opportunity for parole. He must also pay restitution to his victims.
It is unclear if he’ll have to pay the full promised $1.5 million to the women, but no doubt he will have to pay them something.
