I am back in Mexico Beach fishing again, but fear not, I will have DSL here starting on Tues or Wed so updates while Im here will be more plentiful. As it sits now I have found a WiFi hotspot so I can get my email once a day or so.

Crisis Management 101:

While down here I have been thinking about the crisis currently facing our industry, and make no mistake, this is a crisis. Back in my days as an overpriced consultant I was often brought in to help solve a crisis situation. The kinds of Crisis I dealt with were different but the methodology is the same. The first rule of crisis management is “Stop the bleeding”.

In my analysis we are bleeding from 2 locations. AIM being the most critical. That ones an artery…So how do we stop this bleeding? Simple we have to get someone in control who will not lie to us, someone who is qualified with real credentials as a doctor, an MD. Someone who isn’t afraid to stand up and tell the truth. Someone who at that press conference, instead of patting himself on the back would have simply said. We have a problem here and we expect it to get worse before it gets better.

Face it y’all, what exactly have we heard AIM say that they can do to prevent this from happening again at this level? There are things they can do but not with the current administration over there, they can’t even tell you who has been directly exposed…almost everyone in porn knows that their “first generation list” is wrong.

Almost Equal to AIM is AVN:

Now I have supported AVN for many years, they set themselves up to be a lot more than just a news gathering and reporting organization, they set themselves up as the industry voice. When you put yourself into a leadership position you have to lead and for a long time AVN has done that but under the current administration over there AVN has stopped leading and started…well sucking. They flatly refuse to do anything helpful in this current crisis largely because Tim Connelly seems to feel some degree of loyalty to his ex girlfriend Sharon Mitchell. Tim has shown that he doesn’t have what it takes to help us out of this crisis. He has been more devisive than anything else.

Personally I believe that this industry can do better, we have some good honest and bright people in this biz. Paul Fishbein is one of them. Paul it’s time you stepped back to the helm of your ship and put it back on course, we need you.
