No not from the TV show, apparently “law and order” is code for someone who has little regard for civil rights, which is completely in line with Bush’s executive branch power siege. Michael B Mukasey was the judge in the Omar Abdel Rahman (the blind Sheik) trial.
On the other hand he is not a close confidant of Bush and unless the Democrats uncover a skeleton in his closet it’s likely he will pass confirmation with little trouble.
No word on how the judge has ruled in any 1st amendment cases.
