Jill Kelly Productions Sued by Tabitha Stevens Over Royalties Dispute Jill Kelly: Lawsuit “Frivolous”
SAN CLEMENTE, Calif. – Former Jill Kelly Productions contract performer Tabitha Stevens has filed a lawsuit against Jill Kelly Productions accusing the adult entertainment company of using fraudulent accounting practices in order to cheat her out of royalties owed.
The complaint, filed earlier this week in the Los Angeles County Superior Court, seeks to prevent JKP and its sister company Jill Kelly Distribution from selling or distributing any works that Stevens appeared in during her time at JKP. Stevens is also seeking at least $500,000 dollars in damages plus legal fees.
In August 2000, JKP signed Stevens to a non-exclusive one-year contract, which included the star directing and acting in the series, Dripping Fucking Wet. In March 2001, their relationship was upgraded to an exclusive contract.
Attorney Thomas Wright, who is representing Stevens in this case, says that he expects that JKP will settle. “In my private litigation experience, no one ever goes to this extraordinary length that JKP and JK Distribution is going to unless they have something to hide…..they’ll be cutting us a check for the damages, ” says Wright. “The only question in my mind is how big is the check.”
There was an oral agreement, later written down regarding the royalties, which were for 5% of the gross sales. Stevens claims that her repeated requests for an audit of sales were ignored. Her legal team is currently trying to obtain sales figures directly from vendors – a move they say that JKP is trying to block.

So she gets Friedlander to bankroll JKP and she launches with this big todo that all her contract girls get a piece of the action, royalties blah blah and now it turns out she is apparently screwing them? Come on people Stevie Wonder coulda seen this one coming.
