This is just a quick update on the murder trial of former porn star Rob Baker. He is NOW going to face capital murder charges, as well as conspiracy to commit murder. The grand jury indictment supersedes a case filed in June of last year (which we previously reported on) charging the two with the 49-year-old man’s killing, allowing the case to proceed more quickly to trial.
As we reported last year Rob Baker (aka Robert Baker) stared in nearly 80 movies during the span of his career – from 1997 to around 2,000. This man worked for Wicked Pictures, Vivid Video, Adam and Eve, Evil Angel, Metro, Kick Ass Pictures, Sin City … these are all well-established companies. He was also known for bringing Dee and then later Carmen Luvana into porn.
Fast forward and Rob Baker began having an affair with Monica Sementilli, who was married to Fabio Sementilli for 20 years. Rob and Monica decided to murder Fabio for his $1.6 million life insurance policy.
As I’m sure you guessed, they got caught and both are now in jail. Apparently, they weren’t really slick about it. Cops say that Monica and her beau sent hundreds of text messages in the days leading up to the heinous crime. And while his devastated family was grieving, his widow was having sex in a Las Vegas hotel room with Baker — who even showed up for the wake.
Monica has celebrity lawyers Leonard Levine and Blair Berk fighting to clear her name, while Rob Baker is stuck with a legal aid lawyer.
According to police, Monica ensured her eldest daughter Gessica would be away on a babysitting job. There were no witnesses when Baker and an unidentified cohort, armed with a knife, jogged up to the Sementilli home. They snuck through an unlocked sliding door off the master bedroom.
Court documents reveal intricate planning and communication between the two accused killers for months before and after Fabio’s 2017 murder.
In June 2016, Monica — who set up the surveillance system at her home with remote access through her cellphone — gave Baker the codes and instruction manual to the system. As a result, she and Baker could both “live stream” the surveillance cameras from their phones, the documents allege.
On Jan. 23, 2017, Monica met Baker at a gym, saying their housekeeper would be finished by 2:30 p.m. and her eldest daughter Gessica would be away on a babysitting job.
Baker and his cohort staged the murder as a robbery gone awry, but Baker cut his own left index finger in the fatal stabbing, the documents allege. When Baker went to sanitize the crime scene, he left his own blood behind.
Baker and his henchman staged a robbery-burlgary in the master bedroom and drove Fabio’s black Porsche as the getaway car, the documents claim. And the victim’s widow set it up so her youngest teenage daughter Isabella showed up to discover her murdered dad — seven minutes before Monica arrived home.
Monica then contacted Fabio’s employer through a friend to collect his life insurance proceeds and kept pursuing those proceeds for months.
“She lied to two LAPD homicide detectives that she was uncertain of the last name of her lover and co-conspirator, Baker. She also lied that she didn’t know how to access her home surveillance system remotely via her cellphone,” the statement alleges.
Monica called Baker over 9,000 times in the year before the murder while Baker reciprocated by phoning her over 17,000 in the same time period.
“Monica and Baker planned to live together once Fabio was dead,” the statement alleges.
Monica Sementilli’s attorney, Leonard Levine, told reporters his client was not involved in her husband’s killing. “My client adamantly denies any involvement whatsoever in the murder of her husband, and we are hopeful that when all the facts come out she will be totally exonerated,” he said.
A grand jury indictment charges the wife of a prominent hairdresser and her reputed lover with capital murder for the man’s stabbing death at his Woodland Hills home in January of 2017. The indictment also charges Monica Sementilli, 45, and Robert Louis Baker, 55, with conspiring to kill Fabio Sementilli.

DAMN!!! 26,000 / 356 = 73x a day while she was married and living with spouse and kids…amazing.
Love how lawyers say their client is innocent and will be exonerated even though evidence is stacked against them and they go to jail anyways. Or they then plead guilty to get a lesser sentence.
I think their chances of a lesser sentence are probably gone. This whole crime is stupid and they made a lot of mistakes. The evidence is stacked against them in a big way. I think they’re pretty much gone forever.
I guess Rob Baker is a guy that constantly pimps out women or uses them for his own selfish gain. As for Monika, she’s a scumbag too, in so many ways. Allowing her own daughter to find her father cut up like that? Despicable.
So here we have two middle aged lovers plan and execute a murder. They’re the gang that can’t shoot straight, probably one of the easiest cases for the L.A. cops to solve, EVER. We have premeditated murder for profit, they both should get death row. I guess Rob Baker can brag to Scott Peterson about how many women he’s banged before they put him down for good.
This is really sad
