Twitter suspending accounts for using common porn words

Recently read an interesting article over at Sexy Networking about hate speech and just how easy it is to get your account nailed for it.

Social media is in large part monitored by AI that isn’t always perfect. One of the things that we are learning about Twitter is their AI looking to get rid of “hateful conduct”.

“Hateful conduct: You may not promote violence against, threaten, or harass other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or serious disease.”

This means if you call someone a cunt, bimbo, slut or whore, you are likely to get banned or at the very least a short term suspension.

If there are other words that I need to add to this list I strongly encourage you to contact me at [email protected] so I can share that with other people and hopefully keep them from getting suspended.

Vox recently reported that Twitter was using algorithms to catch abusive content,

“‘38% of abusive content that’s enforced is surfaced proactively to our teams for review instead of relying on reports from people on Twitter.’ The company says this includes tweets that fell into a number of categories, including ‘abusive behavior, hateful conduct, encouraging self-harm, and threats, including those that may be violent.’ A year ago, 0 percent of the tweets Twitter removed from these categories were identified proactively by the company.”

The scary part of this is if you’re a dominatrix and you call your slaves “sluts” then you will be suspended. If you’re a model who is into body modification, plays to a bimbo fetish, and you use that word, then you will be suspended.

So consider yourself warned. Try and avoid calling someone a ho on twitter.
