  1. ‘cuz you know if he didn’t shoot, there would be a sudden worldwide shortage of porn, and the Arab porn cartels would drive up the price and push the world economy back into recession.

  2. The real question is… Why would the dumb actors/actresses shoot under this type of scenario. That is the overall problem with the biz. It shows desparation. No one seems to realize the risk they are taking. Is money that important??? You can’t take it with you when you hit the coffen. Wtf I’m an outsider however I see the problem. If you want the real answer get in touch.

  3. I think what this really demonstrates is that when porn says we don’t need regulation because we police our own, its really hollow. Vivid exporting LA talent to Las Vegas to shoot porn is not a moratorium; its a workaround.

It also says that states like arizona, Nevada and Florida have a chance to do this right. They’re cash strapped. They shouldn’t turn a blind eye. If they’re going to welcome porn production, Nevada, for instance, should require nothing less than they require in their brothels. They have the infrastructure in place.

And, given that they’re cash strapped, they should make porn pay – if you’re going to get in bed with Vice, you should at least put in a permit and fee process that makes it worth your while.

  4. A director for a company who’s owner has HIV doesn’t stop shooting when everyone is at risk of spreading HIV. Classy. I’m waiting for the news that Stagliano himself is doing POV scenes. Sad thing is, besides a couple of bloggers and a handful of people on twitter, no one would care and it would be business as usual.

  5. Of course not. Kevin Moore was probably just shooting a new installment of Crack Fuckers where he just slides his weeny in a girl’s butt crack. Stagliano can do that and he’s got HIV.

  6. I heard Stagliano is working on a Thunderdome kinda shoot where two people with STD’s enter the dome and fuck until the death. He will take the winners and put them into a special pool to create new diseases. Then he will use them to take over the world.

  7. The performers who are still shooting need to be outed, and the agents who are still booking these scenes need to be outed.

Mike, that LATATA banner on this site needs to be gone. How can you print articles critical of people breaking the moratorium, when LATATA is working hand in hand with those same people and providing talent for these shoots? And then taking their cut of the money.

  8. When I first started hearing about performers retiring, leaving town, leaving the country, moving, etc. my first reaction was “Good for them. This has to be such a stressful time for them… it’s probably good to get away from it all for awhile.”

But, between the passive aggressive “Well, I really needed a vacation, so this is great!” to the amount of performers who seem to be just “vanishing” off the face of the earth with no trace of them or being able to actually find them, this is starting to get way too fucking bizarre… Then you have certain companies and performers who act as if absolutely nothing is happening and they are either doing scenes or just sitting around doing nothing and bitching about not being able to work.

it has to be some kind of psychological coping method or they’re too arrogant and selfish to think about anything other than themselves?

It almost feels like I’m in college watching a psychological experiment on the effects of delusional and narcissistic behaviors?

  9. @Lacey, “Performers who just seem to be vanishing” Is it just a coincidence that this is happening right after HEP C became a mandatory test. Evryone saw the reaction to Alex Gonz.

  10. Ahhh.. very good point. I knew I was missing something.
Plus, the fact that he has supposedly been infected with Hep. C since 2010!!!!

  11. @Lacey: This whole situation is freaking bizarre.
Now I hear that Vivid has been shooting Spiderman 2 in Las Vegas during the moratorium, and the star is Xander Corvus. He’s the one who worked with Cameron Bay at kink before she was diagnosed with HIV. That’s Crazy..for all we know Xander tests results might be a false negative. I mean it’s been less then a month since he got the results. And he’s already working.

And to top it all off…Steve Hirsch apparently did an interview where he told CNBC..that Vivid wasn’t shooting and he was waiting until October to find things out… He lied. Yeah..these people are fucking nuts.

  12. @Kate: are they at least using condoms on the Vivid shoot? Or do i not want to know the answer to that? Excuse the extra “are”- damn glitchy phone. are

  13. @sachertorte : I doubt they’re using condoms. Steve Hirsch is trying to overturn measure B. Now, industry insiders are confirming to Radar online that other porn companies are still filming in Nevada and Florida. These people are crazy.

  14. @Kate and @sachertorte –
There is no way they’re actually using condoms on Spiderman 2. Wouldn’t make any sense? If you’re willing to shoot illegal porn then I seriously doubt they give a shit about using condoms. The worst part is Xander Corvus supposedly cut his penis on one of Bay’s back teeth, which means there was an open wound on his penis during the Kink – public disgrace shoot.

I’m sure CNBC will be all over that at some point and then he’ll probably say some shit about the moritorium being lifted or that he had NO idea what was going on…. Yeah, OK.

I think I am starting to come to the conclusion that they aren’t completely crazy, but just unbelievably arrogant. They kind of just sit around pointing the finger at everyone else while pretty much ignoring any rules or laws that would apply…. and telling the government to essentially “go fuck yourself. We do whatever we want, whenever we want to do it….”
It seems to have worked pretty well for them so far, but I think the government is just sitting back waiting for them to fuck up enough where the lawsuits will be open/close cases. But, who really knows?
Sometimes the best strategy is to just sit back while watching and let the other side fuck themselves….

  15. @Lacey:
You’re giving a lot of them too much credit. They aren’t arrogant. It is much more simple than that. They just don’t have common sense along with a false sense of importance. (Throw in a crappy childhood as well. Who has a good childhood and chooses to suck dick for money or film it?) A lot were nobody’s who are now “famous”, but when you are famous for sex then you really aren’t famous. You’re just known. They make crap that would get booed if it was a college film and act like they are the shit. People are at risk and everyone is talking about Miley Cyrus. With that said you can see porn fame isn’t fame. It just means people know you and won’t talk about it much.

People don’t burn the roof over the things they masturbate to. That would mean others know.

They’re in their own worlds that they made for themselves. The Stagliano dick-swiping through the cheeks just shows that. He’s in some fantasy land where people walk hand in hand through the gumdrop forest only to stop to ejaculate a rainbow into the arse of a unicorn.

The “We’re going to do what we want to” doesn’t even cross their minds.

  16. @CPanzram: you’re projecting the usual porn stereotypes onto all porn performers, women in particular. They aren’t all damaged goods with shitty childhoods and no brains. Some examples: Bobbi Starr, Dana Vespoli, Stoya, Ashlynn Brooke, Lexi Belle, Sarah Blake, Sunny Leone, Sunny Lane. They are NOT all “victims.” There ARE women who are sexually adventurous without having some dark, disturbing history. Your attitude is sexist. As for male performers, many are just highly sexual and exhibitionists. and many men actually envy their careers, despite the non-glamourous aspects. And in Europe, attitudes toward sexuality are far different, and Rocco Siffredi and Manuel Ferrara aren’t any more perverted than the average horny male. And though I am no fan of Stagliano, and think he should keep his dick in his pants out of common courtesy, swiping one’s penis along a buttcrack is not a high-risk activity. I have disliked Stagliano ever since he stated that “pussies are bullshit” and helped usher in the current anal-centric era of porn. I think he’s as asshole but I also don’t think he’s Satan.

  17. @Lacey: hopefully Bay didn’t have any open sores in her mouth at the time. Though Xander Corvus is well-known for his nihilistic attitude, and were he to eventually come up positive, he’s probably just decide it was meant to be, say “fuck it,” and move on to something else….

  18. @Lacey: Yeah I read about Xander cutting his penis on one of Bay’s back teeth. and this guy is still shooting. But what’s even crazier is that someone is stupid enough to shoot with him and I doubt very highly that they are using condoms. And like you pointed out they’re shooting illegal porn. They do what they want. Fuck You!!

Like you, I think people in the industry are arrogant. But I also believe they’re delusional . They think they’re indestructible . It’s not going to happen to them. They’re not going to be the one to contract HIV.. but, if they happen to they can just take drugs, it will go away and they will live another 30-40 years. I think that’s their mindset.

I think you’re also right about the government sitting back and waiting.
Every time someone in the industry opens their mouth they just dig a deeper hole for themselves. I mean Steve Hirsch goes on CNBC and says Vivid wasn’t shooting and he was waiting until October to find things out.. and here Kylie Ireland put the entire time line of Vivid shooting on tweeter during the moratorium, Spiderman 2…Proving Hirsch lied.. not very bright.

And how about Cameron Bay’s medical records being given to every one but her…Apparently John Stagliano called her up to inform her of her high viral content.. he knew about her HIV status before she did.. That’s Illegal. you know, the whole Dr/patient confidentially thing. It’s against the HIPAA law. I believe that was the reason Rod Daily didn’t get tested at CET or Talent Testing..

I think the government is sitting back , waiting and taking notes… and then they will start suing the shit out of people.

  19. All I can say is if I was a current performer, I would run my fucking ass to a private doctor and have him send my blood samples to a lab that the pornindustry has never used just to get an outside testing panel done… Kind of like a second opinion.

I actually laughed a *tiny* bit when you said “sue.” I think there’s going to be alot of shit going down in the near future before they even get to the “sue” phase.
If I’m hearing the term RICO Act getting thrown around then there is a very good chance it could get quite interesting.

  20. @sachertorte –
Sounds alot more fun than a governmental IRS orgy!!!!
    I’d rather ride lawyers… they’re generally more fun. 😉

  21. @sachertorte
You know I have a vagina. Right?

I was talking about folks like Kevin Moore, Stagliano, and those types. Last time I checked Lexi Belle, Sunny Lane, and the others aren’t doing something bad.

If you have HIV I would consider it a high risk activity. I’m sure the state of California would feel the same way.

  22. @CPanzram: no, I was unaware of your gender, since i don’t recall.any mention of it in any previous comments. One can be a female sexist; it’s not at all confined to males. The anti-porn feminist contingent would never consider themselves sexist, but most certainly are. Additionally you never made any indication that you were referring only to a select group of female talent, excluding any of the bigger names. You made a generalization. As for your belief that non-penetrative sexual contact without exchange of bodily fluids that are known vectors being “high-risk” for HIV transmission, the CDC disagrees with you. As for Stagliano’s activities, i think his penis should stay in his pants out of common courtesy, I don’t want to see a sixty-something man playing with twenty-year-olds regardless of his STD status, and i’ve already mentioned i hold him responsible for ushering in the anal sex obsession of at least the past dozen years, which has led to more extreme, riskier sex acts. Anyone in his position making the statement that “pussies are bullshit” is not someone I’d get along with.

  23. @CPanzram: no, actually, i was unaware of your gender since you made no mention of it in previous comments. That doesn’t mean you can’t be sexist or make sexist statements. The anti-porn Catharine MacKinnon faction of anti-porn feminism most certainly don’t consider themselves sexist, but their attitudes place them squarely in that camp. You made a generalization about female performers, with no mention that you were excluding the bigger names. As for your belief that non-penetrative sexual activity, involving no exchange of bodily fluids that are known HIV vectors, the CDC would disagree with you that they are “high-risk.” As for Stagliano, I would rather he keep it in his pants for several reasons, one being that he already had his time and is now well-past it- most don’t really want to see his sixty-something cock engaged in any type of sex play with twenty-year-old woman. At this point it’s all about his ego. I also blame him for ushering in the anal-centric era of porn that’s been around at least a dozen years now. Anyone who makes the now-infamous statement that “pussies are bullshit” is no friend of mine.
