Just so you know… the reason that the gay porn industry doesn’t mandage HIV testing is because they, unlike the straight porn industry, mandate the use of condoms. (There’s two smaller “barebacking” companies out there actually, but they are virtually ostracized from the community. They are sort of the Extreme Associates of gay porn.) It’s hard to say really which is safer. I mean, a PCR-DNA test taken on Monday is all well and good, but what if you had unprotected sex with someone on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, before shooting on Thursday?
Also, it’s not neccessarily true that men make more money in gay porn. This is a myth. Look at someone like Jason McCain. Was he paid more per movie? Yes. But how many did he do? Gay porn stars only make a movie or two a month. Straight porn stars make a movie or two a day and usually end up making more than a gay performer — unless you are at the height of your fame like a Caesar or Matthew Rush, who is obviously paid tens of thousands of dollars per scene. But those people are exceptions to the rule and rare finds!

Well, I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t know diddly about the gay porn biz, but Wicked is an all condom company and if they dropped HIV testing I could hear the howls all the way down here in Florida (Where I am at the moment). And the people who shoot for Wicked are a far LESS likely group to contract HIV than the people who shoot for Falcon. I don’t get it really. You do make a valid point…one that is becoming increasingly clear to me, an HIV test is good for about a day or two and thats it, after that it’s a crap shoot…no matter what ANYONE tells you.
The only reason HIV hasn’t decimated the porn population is because its difficult to transmit heterosexually (except viaa anal sex) and damn near impossible to transmit female to male. Consider Mark Wallace…of all the girls he fucked we only know of 4 or 5 that he infected…all of those did unprotected anal scenes with him. Admitted we don’t know for sure that’s HOW the transmission happened but it is the odds on best bet. Not only that just wait till some of these dumbasses who think “gasping” is all the rage…when they get older and start to deal with the long term consequences of that…HIV would be a walk in the park by comparison..believe it.
