According to adult industry sources, veteran performer and director Brandon Iron a.k.a. Brandon Irons has been missing for months and some fear he may have taken his own life.
A friend of Brandon Iron states that he died by his own hand in Dublin, Ireland, but this has not been independently confirmed.
The native of Calgary, Alberta, Canada was born 51 years ago, on July 14, 1968. Irons’ iafd page lists over 1200 performer credits.
“He makes a living off his content, so he really goes after tubes etc.”, a source revealed. “Now it’s all over the place. Meaning he is not protecting his income.”
If he quit to lay low, [he] would have deleted Twitter like everybody else who quits.
No one of his close friends has heard from him in months.
Missing
Not even Irons’ video distributor has heard from him. Text messages and DMs to the missing 2018 AVN Hall of Famer have gone unreturned.
Peter Warren at AVN adds
Those who kept in contact with Iron regularly are highly concerned because they say it’s unlike him not to respond immediately to messages. Their concern is heightened by the fact that companies who make regular revshare payments to him, in particular JM Productions and BrainCash, have been unsuccessful in delivering those payments since roughly the same time others lost contact with him.
And social media posts such as these have popped up:
Irons began performing in 1991. In recent years, he has been producing independent content for sale at ManyVids while living in Ireland.
In October 2016 he told MikeSouth.com
I’ve been with Manyvids since January 2016 and have had a satisfying experience. My studio is currently ranked 9th out of 904 studios and I’ve reached a whole new audience with both new and old content.
Here’s what I’ve learned: social media is crucial and you build your following one supporter at a time; customers appreciate quick notes of thanks and interaction — you can’t pirate that.; find ways to connect with fans of all orientations, kinks and fetishes (I offer store items that cater to gay fans and appreciate the support); distributors’ power and influence has been reduced and sites like Manyvids empower all performers to express their creativity and be their own boss; everyone loves getting a deal — use promo codes and offer free items.
His last sardonic tweet:
If anyone has information about Brandon Iron’s whereabouts, please get in touch.

If true this is heartbreaking. He seemed like one of the good guys in the industry. Was always willing to communicate with fans on various forums.
Daym, Brandon was one of the best performers/directors during most of porn’s truly golden years (92-07). Recently he had a nice studio setup in his expensive looking home. I did notice his content dropped dramatically this last year or so. Maybe he couldn’t afford to live that lifestyle anymore?
RIP Brandon Iron.
