War on Porn: Asshat Parti Québécois candidate wants to put a tax on porn, force ISP’s to make subscribers opt-in, and have ‘education campaign’ on ‘the harms of porn.’
The white nationalist candidate for the leadership of the Parti Québécois says he wants to sensitize the population, and particularly young people, to the dangers of pornography. He proposes the creation of an organization whose mission of raising awareness would resemble that of Éduc’alcool.
“Pornography has taken up an enormous amount of space in our lives over the past 10-15 years,” says Paul St-Pierre Plamondon.
According to him, almost half of adolescents have regular contact with pornography.
Plamondon believes that pornography represents a public health issue because of its multiple consequences on society: dependence, sexual violence, sexism, gender inequalities, etc. He says that many studies show that regular use of pornography makes people more likely to commit sexual violence.
This is not even close to being true.
“Sex workers explicitly say that the danger to their safety has really increased with the proliferation of pornography,” he adds.
Oh he wants to help sex workers! What a nice guy.
The state does not have to manage what goes on in the bedrooms of the province, but the state has a responsibility for public health. So when the health and safety of women is affected by the proliferation of pornography, we cannot sit idly by either.

Paul St-Pierre Plamondon proposes to impose a 0.5% tax on the pornography industry, which represents a billion dollar turnover, to finance awareness campaigns.
These would particularly target schools: “We want our children to be more aware of the fact that pornography does not represent male-female relationships.”

I hope he loses the election and gets a VD (preferably AIDS) handed to him by a bunch of prostitutes the next time he goes looking for easy sex on Montreal or Quebec City inner city streets. The men most against porn and sex are usually the ones getting fucked up the ass by male prostitutes then taking their cum deep inside three times a week.
