Yes your favorite Hillbilly will be doing a seminar on starting an adult site tonight at 10PM in the Champaigne Room (fitting huh?) at The Marriott Marquis in Downtown Atlanta.
There will be two adult industry discussion panels at the mainstream multimedia and popular arts convention, Dragon*Con.
Dragon*Con, an event which draws approximately 30,000 attendees per year, is best known for it’s focus on science fiction/fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, art, and music also features the technology driven Electronic Frontiers Forums. McGowan, the celebrated editor and chief writer of the adult news and commentary website EyeOnAdult.com, will set up shop for a two night stand leading conversations about entertainment technology’s love affair with the skin biz as well as the primary social concerns facing adult industry workers, particularly webmasters and models. Also on board as expert panelists for these discussions are AVN Award winning director and industry blogger Mike South (www.mikesouth.com) along with Jim “GonZo” McAnally, a renowned adult webmaster and owner of adult industry think tank Oprano.com.
“I’m very, very excited about this,” said Scott McGowan, the panel moderator. “One thing I’ve noticed about Dragon*Con and other conventions of its type is there are a ton of folks in attendance that dabble in the adult arena in one way or another. You find a lot webcam models, photographers, erotic fiction writers, and webmasters at these events but rarely does anyone from the establishment of our industry make an effort to include these folks.”
“That’s what this all about; reaching people that are on the fringes of our business who aren’t likely to go to the tradeshows and conferences. We want to make them part of the discussion.”
Both panels are being sponsored adult video on demand mega-site MovieMonster.com and the over eighteen networking website xPeeps.com. Both websites are owned and operated AEBN Inc. of Charlotte, NC.
“We’re proud to be a part of these panels, said AEBN Marketing Executive Suzann Knudsen. “We encourage dialogue of this sort because it’s a great opportunity for people in and around our business to learn from each other and give the public some food for thought.”
Scott McGowan, Mike South, and Jim “GonZo” McAnally will take the stage on Friday, Sept. 1st in Atlanta’s Marriot Marquis Hotel at 10:00 pm for the panel titled Walking the Line: Moral, Ethical, and Legal Concerns in Online Adult Entertainment. They will return the following evening, Saturday, Sept. 2 at 10 pm to continue the discussion in the panel Adult Entertainment and Technology: A Lusty Liaison.
