I get asked this one a lot. How can you wake up in the morning, expecting to have a normal day at home, working etc. Then suddenly just decide to up and drive to Dayton or to the beach with no plans to even return? It’s true too, I stay till I get bored, then I go back home, it might be 10 days or it might be 30.
It’s actually a good feeling, it’s freedom. I think there’s something nomadic in all of us, but I think civilization supresses it in us. It doesn’t have to do with avoiding responsibility, I still do all the stuff I’m responsible for, I just do it with a change of scenery.
If you can do it, I highly recommend it.

I don’t think “civilization suppresses it in us,” so much as the need to pay the bills…
