When you visit another country it’s always an adventure. When you visit one that’s pretty much off the beaten path it’s even more of an adventure.
Such was my trip to Thailand.
I have known many people who go there and all of them keep going back. I never really knew why until now. Most people are like I was, I just assumed it was somewhere to go for easy and cheap sex but trust me, that ain’t it. Sure the sex is easy and not much is expensive in Thailand but getting there isn’t cheap nor is it easy. But is it worth it? Oh hell yes.
I have lots to write about my vacation but before I start I should tell you that it changed my life, a lot, and should you ever get the opportunity to go chances are it will change yours as well. I get it now, I know why people keep going back, hopefully you will too as I write about my trip.
I visited a lot of Thailand, some of the cities I spent time in: Bangkok, Pattaya, Authaya, Cha-Am, Ranong, Khao Lak, Phang Nga, Phuket, Petchaburi and Kanchanburi to name a few. If you look it up on a map you will see it was quite the trek. I learned a lot about the culture and a fair amount of history, politics and even a bit of the language. Mostly I learned a lot about myself and a lot about what’s wrong in my life.
Many thanks to DirtyWhiteBoy who made it all possible and to Nate and Nang together they all made it one of the highlights of my entire life, a life changing experience to be sure. From James Bond Island to Soi Dogs to copy snakes…What a ride.

Yeah, well, all that’s just hunky dory, but there’s a bunch of us still waiting on the Waldo-shirt pics !!!
Welcome back, Mike! I’m happy that you had an adventure of a lifetime. Can’t wait to hear the stories.
waiting for the stories too
A friend just recently went to Phuket and had a great time. Not sure it was life-changing (since he is still bent on having a Russian mail order bride), but he didn’t hate it. 😀
Phuket is beautiful, all of south thailand is but anything south of Krabi isnt really safe anymore thanks to muslim terrorism in that area but wow everything between there and Kanchanburi is stunningly pretty.
