Yayaya…:

I know I have been a bit remiss in updates recently but honestly what is there to talk about? Porners are still doing the same old stupid shit porners have always done, what’s news about that?

Unlike the other guys (Cept you JimmyD) I don’t get paid anything for writing this site, and those of you who think my writing brings me new members here? Well you are VERY mistaken. Truth is this site is kinda like my own pwrsonal therapy. I write thiings here to get em off my chest and move on with life.

I haven’t needed much therapy lately, been getting lots of that 20-60 mles out in the middle of the ocean playing tug o war with fish.

Not that y’all prolly give a rats ass but my life is very content. I am happy, I hope it lasts.

I did do a little site surfing today and came up with a few observations.

Fawn…I Mean Gene Ross:

Has spent a good deal of time fawning all over John Bowen, aka John T Bone, of late. For those who don’t know John T Bone burned so many people in Porn Valley that he had to move to Brazil and, presumeably, start screwing talent, bouncing checks and conning people over there. It’s interesting to hear T Bone talking about how dangerous it is over there, how people will kill ya for 2 dollars. Hell I got 2 dollars, where do I send it? I think John’s “admirers” could put together a small fortune to rid the biz of one of the all time great scumbags.

Speaking of Gene does know how to pick em doesn’t he? Allegedly accepting bribes from T Bone while he was at AVN, Fawn Ross is reportedly still doing so at his current post, If you can judge a person by his friends Gene…well lets just say he is pals with Rob Black and John T Bone…nuff said there.

AVNOnline On It’s Last Leg?

I got the latest issue, boy is it thin. All the big advertisers have dropped out of it, High/Low on it’s death is 5 months. Chances are it will be “rolled into” AVN. This is too bad really. It wasn’t a bad idea, just really, really poor execution. The folks over there never really understood the audience they were playing for. I mean do you really think that webmasters who can afford to run ads in AVNOnline really need a “how to build a website” tutorial? Do you really think guys with highly sucessful adult sites give a rats ass about an “inside look” at Taylorwane.com? Or worse yet some bimbo who has never even done porn, just has a vanity site because she was on the pages of Playboy?

The technical articles could have saved them but instead of explaining stuff like MOD_REWRITE they decided webmasters needed to know about UNIX permissions, which probably wasn’t a bad idea but the guy who wrote it, “Old Tom” didn’t know anything about UNIX permissions and screwed it up so bad they only ran part one of a scheduled 3 part series. Not only did “Old Tom” get it wrong, his suggestions would have left your system wide open for hacking.

The one thing they have done well is coverage of the Acacia court proceedings, but this is something better suited to an online publication, telling us what happened 3 months after it happened is hardley news to those of us who get up to the minute info online.

And that’s where AVNOnline should be, is online. They need to forego the fluff and get to the real stuff that can make webmasters more successful, and AVNOnline with them.
