Why People Are Really Stealing Tide

It’s been all over the news about people stealing Tide Liquid Laundry detergent and selling it on the black market.  but to most people it flat doesn’t add up.  So I started casting about for a drug connection  and sure enough I found one. According to three people it is being used to make a synthetic Meth.  A single bottle of the detergent can supposedly make 900 doses.

Now that makes a LOT more sense than people stealing it for resale on a black market.

The word is that the authorities do not want the recipe to get out so the drug connection is being left out of the stories.

That secret is safe with me. Now just convince the other billion people connected to the Internet. Does this mean, as an extra step, I will have to go to the “Courtsey Counter” to get detergent to wash my clothes?

  2. It’s not really filler…it isn’t porn but this blog isn’t really about porn….It’s about what I wanna write about, what interests me. Sometimes, even a lot of the time, it’s porn but mostly its just an op-ed site that gets more than its fair share of breaking news stories in porn.

Hey it don’t cost nuthin 😉

  3. Mike: This is what I have always loved about your site. It isn’t just porn. It’s whatever catches your fancy and you’ve taken your readers to some interesting places over the years. Keep up the work.

  4. I hope they don’t ban Tide now that it can be made into a form of Meth. That is the only laundry detergent I use (it honestly works a hell of a lot better than the store brand).

  5. Phew! I’m so relieved that you got to the bottom of this. I was having a really hard time believing drug pushers were worried about whiter whites…

  6. The Tide detergent/crystal meth recipe connection: Yet another Mike South exclusive.

  7. Hey like goddess said (I do miss her writing)

It makes more sense that the hoodrats sellin it black market because we all know how clean they want those baggy pants to be, specially when they trip and fall running from the cops while wearin em…..Ya gotta look good when yer on “COPS”

  8. Mike: You are one of my daily go to sites. And, DWB – can I clean my clothes with meth? just cracked me up. If you use it in the concentrated form, it may be cheaper than Tide.

  9. I read an article the other day that said Tide was being used as a cash-alternative for drug buyers. People were stealing Tide to trade for drugs. Specifically Tide, because it is the most popular laundry detergent in the U.S. so it’s easy to sell and it never ever goes bad.

  10. What happened to the good ‘ol days of getting drunk on cough syrup and huffing Elmer’s Glue out of your lunch bag?

  11. Ok if drugs are this cheap, why do people go broke and lose everything buyin’ ’em?! Geez I thought there was money in drugs! What the HELL is this world coming to?

  12. I think like even the one bottle meth making technique its all in knowing how to make it…Im thinking most junkies aren’t that into chemistry
