OK I’m Bored

I don’t know why but lately porn and porners have been boring me to death. Most likely because everyone is so predictable. You’d think with everything going on with AIM and AHF and all that it would be interesting, but it ain’t. AIM did exactly what anyone could have predicted, ie the dumbest thing possible.

So now we can pretty well bet condoms will become mandatory to get filming permits in LA, AHF will run AIM out on a rail and set themselves up as the performer protection watchdog as well as monetizing the thing the way AIM should have.

Adult Expo is right around the corner but it isn’t garnering much excitement either, looking at the list of exhibitors I can’t help but notice how much smaller it has gotten since it’s heyday. Vivid isn’t even going to have a booth this year….not that they have anyone to sign in it, they released all their contract girls. Nor anyone to sell the product, they released their sales guy Howard Levine, yet Hirsch still has money to throw at Octomom…WTF is up with that anyhow?

Even the fans have become bored with porn and porners and who can blame them, the product out of Porn Valley these days positively sucks, it’s almost like it’s geared to the gay market. Is anyone surprised that the web is eating their lunch? Not Me.

I’d go so far as to say this is the end of porn as we know it, there are going to be a lot of fundamental changes over the next couple of years, people who see the writing on the wall will cash out. Mark my words on this one AVN will be sold by the summer. I also expect at least half the companies in business now will be toast by the end of June.

If porn companies were publicly traded the only one I’d consider putting money into right now is Digital Playground.

It’s been a weird year.

The cold weather has my back hurting so I’m going to go relax with a jar of hyrocodone…later y’all.
