More Oscar Thoughts:

It was refreshing not to have to hear the likes of Michael Moore running his mouth, nobody said fuck, nobody flashed a tit, everyone was actually quite well behaved, nice.

“It Doesn’t Stand Out”:

Because I was an invited guest I sent this to Adella for her review and to make sure I was tipping any hands as to what the project was and all that because DP does not allow press on the set.

Adella responded it’s OK but it doesn’t stand out….It wasn’t suppossed to….

On Saturday I spent the day on a Digital Playground set, not as a journalist but as an invited guest. A few things stood out.

DP actually puts a lot of work into getting quality in their movies these days, the cast was pretty, the lighting was good and the technical aspects were given much attention, right down to shooting on High Definition…HDTV Ready.

RobbyD did not direct but was a cameraman, and he is a very good one…I mean really good.

The set was actually fun, little or no drama and everyone got along well and seemed motivated to do a good job, a credit to everyone involved.

I want to thank Digital Playground and Joone for not only inviting me on the set, but making me welcome there, I didn’t just feel welcome, I was welcome.

Gene Ross For Sale:

It comes as no big surprise to hear rumors that Gene Ross is being payed by Evolution to pimp them on adultfyi.com. This is a recurring rumor that goes all the way back to his days at AVN and John T Bone.

What is interesting to note is that Evolution and Extreme are moving under the same roof….Of course Rob Black still maintains that he has no involvement with Evolution…Ya Right….

Where were the AIDS Ribbons:

The HIV awareness ribbons have been everywhere at the Oscars in prior years….I happened to notice that none were visible this year. Then I remembered that Sharon Mitchell and AIM have eradicated HIV,( A statement Sharon made a few months ago and quoted on this site), how foolish of me…

AVN Gets a New Router:

I was getting emails the last couple of months from people at AVN complaining that they could not reach my site, some evenb asked me if I had “blocked” AVN from my site. First off thats a huge effort that I have no time to undertake and second, why would I do that? Answer is I wouldn’t.

I told AVN it was likely either a DNS Server or a router problem…Guess they finally figured out I was right, AVN got a new router over the weekend. I hate being right all the time 😉

I Saw an Old Friend Saturday:

Roxanne Hall, WOW she still looks great and she is still a doll! She is back in porn so watch for her.

Unfortuneatly there were some friends I wanted to see and either couldn’t connect or didn’t get the time, to those…just damn…This may have been the shortest 8 days of my whole life.

I Did Spend Some Time at The American Film Market Show:
