Comcast Announces 50Mb Cable Internet Service

A lot of you are going huh? Why is this porn news? At the same time Vivid, IVD, GVA and Metro Home Video are cringing.

About a month ago I posted to one of the fan boi sites that the future of porn is in fact download to own and VOD, in HiDefinition of course. They all laughed saying that was ten years away.

Idiots.

Comcast announced yesterday that by mid 2010 50Mbs cable internet would be available to 100% of its customers. Verizon is already offering FIOS to its customers in selected areas with up to 24 Mbps.

So you are all saying so what does all this mean South? Well I’ll tell ya what it means, it means that you would be able to simultaneously download 2 HiDefinition DVDs (Like Bluray) IN REAL TIME. In other words while you watch one movie you can download another and then burn them BOTH to DVD.

And thats just the tip of the iceberg, Cable is capable of 168Mb/s. So much for ten years huh?

If your company doesnt adapt you will be roadkill.
