After the stink last week about ATK not paying producers it seems at least one producer has been paid about one third of what he is owed. The problem is that in house employees paychecks were shorted last week to do it. What it comes down to is a few people got paid at the expense of a few others and Kim Nielsen then took off first class to Singapore.
I also saw some models tweeting about not having been paid by them.

If the producer doesnt pay then the model release is invalid. It doesnt matter if the release is a seperate form thats gets signed. The contracts are “related.” You should never sign the release until the check clears.

Yeah, people, Always ask for cash up front! Never take someones word for anything. The people in the industry are not exactly known for their honesty.
