Gay porn model Tyler St. James had been the secret ringleader of illegal steroids production in Tennessee.
The 28-year-old, whose legal name is Joel Logan Pasternak, pleaded guilty to a federal indictment charging he “conspir[ed] to manufacture and distribute anabolic steroids.”
As a porn star, he worked fairly regularly with sites such as Men.com and Jet Set Men under the name Tyler St. James.
However, in a scenario reminiscent of Walking Tall, it was later revealed he also worked alongside family and friends under the Pasternak drug organization to import, produce and distribute steroids in five separate labs across Johnson City.
Pasternak/St. James was fined $2.8 million and sentenced to nine years in federal prison.
Judging from St. James’ answers, below, it looks like prison will be a mixed bag.
His parents, Edward and Lori Pasternak, 59 and 52 respectively, helped run the steroids operation. Edward, a former pastor, was sentenced to 36 months in federal prison while Lori was sentenced to 12 months and one day. Together, they will be required to pay fines totaling USD $100,000.
