22 Victims Now Suing Girls Do Porn (GirlsDoPorn.com)

I’m not sure if another writer already covered this but I came across some docs the other day about the ongoing GirlsDoPorn.com lawsuit and it’s owner Michael J. Pratt in San Diego.

The lawsuit now includes 22 Jane Doe’s (victims) who are each seeking $500,000 plus legal fees. The original lawsuit only included only 4 victims, but over the last 2+ years that this lawsuit has dragged on the count is now up to 22.

“The women seek at least $500,000 apiece from girlsdoporn.com and the three men they say run it: owner Michael J. Pratt, principal actor Andre Garcia and videographer and sales agent Matthew Wolfe, all of San Diego County. The women also sued nine related businesses, on 14 causes of action, including sexual battery, gender violence, false imprisonment, and fraudulent concealment.”

In January 2019, after years of litigation, a San Diego Superior Court Judge found that there was a “substantial probability” that Pratt, Wolfe, and Garcia “engaged in malice, fraud or oppression.”

Hours after the ruling was announced, Pratt filed for bankruptcy in federal court and his attorneys asked that the case be moved from state to federal court.

According to the bankruptcy documents Pratt owes $134,000 in back federal and state income taxes.

“There is very little doubt in my mind that Mr. Pratt filed bankruptcy to delay the civil trial,” said Brian Holm, the attorney representing the women. “Mr. Pratt certainly did not file bankruptcy because he was struggling to keep up with his debts.” 

Holm said Pratt refused to appear in-person for the bankruptcy court hearings, convincing attorneys that Pratt had other motivations.

The bankruptcy case has now been thrown out and the civil lawsuit will proceed.

After 1,112 days, a Civil Jury Trial will finally take place at 9:00 am on June 24, 2019.
