Noted Director Has String of Scintillating Top-Selling Releases
Hall of Fame adult star and acclaimed director Dana Vespoli expands her impressive hardcore catalog with “Secrets That We Keep”, out this week from Red Light District.
Her latest seductively subversive title, “Secrets That We Keep”, features AVN Female Performer of the Year Angela White in a sexual rematch with Manuel Ferrara. The two shared the 2018 AVN Award for Best Boy/Girl Sex Scene for their scalding performance in last year’s “Angela 3”.
“In ‘Secrets That We Keep’, Angela White’s character is in a relationship with a hit man. When she finds out that he is having an affair she become really angry at this transgression,” Vespoli is quoted as saying. “She then wonders what it says about her that she can forgive murder but not infidelity.”
The cast of top-shelf talent also includes Kissa Sins, and Kenna James tussling with two-time AVN Male Performer of the Year James Deen.
Vespoli’s directorial hallmark is the way she puts her own spin on classic themes, such as older/younger liaisons. She said the sex scene starring 2019 AVN Awards co-host Romi Rain and Small Hands “really stood out to me. I love tension and a slow seduction. Plus, I’m a sucker for an aggressive younger man with an older woman. I think hate-fucking is a niche that needs to be explored more and they do it beautifully.”
The scintillating and controversial release is one of the keystones of the rebooted Red Light District — one of the leading hardcore gonzo companies of the past two decades — which returned this month under the leadership of co-founder David Joseph.
Joseph sold the company to Pulse Distribution in 2011, but recently reacquired it with plans to re-establish and re-envision the brand.
Vespoli’s “Secrets That We Keep” hits stores while her summer release “Lesbian Adventures – Older Women, Younger Girls Vol. 12” from Mile High Media’s all-girl imprint Sweetheart Video is still sitting pretty in the Gamelink Best Seller charts.
“Older Women, Younger Girls 12 was soooo fun to shoot,” Vespoli revealed. “It was a no brainer with Alexis Fawx, Julia Ann and Dana DeArmond. It was my first time working with the younger girls and I just got really lucky with them! They were all adorable and very natural with their characters! Britney Light and Maya Kendrick are quite adept at improvising—they really added quite a bit to the script.”
Vespoli’s drama “Adoration”, from Sweetheart Video is recent another top seller in Vespoli’s canon. Vespoli pulls double duty as director and star in the movie. The plot concerns businesswoman Cherie DeVille reuniting with her former lover (Vespoli) after almost a decade, and trying to pick up where they left off. “Cherie is so gifted as an actress and working with her was a dream,” Plus her body is ridiculous! I’m amazed I didn’t bruise myself on her abs.”
A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, Dana Vespoli entered the world of X in 2003 as a performer, with the goal of eventually directing her own films. For more than a decade she has had a prolific output for a wide selection of companies featuring boundary-pushing scenes renowned for their authenticity and intensity.
“I love being able to work on different kinds of projects,” the director said. “Every movie has its own personality and appeals to different interests and fetishes and curiosities. I love being able to try different things. Each movie is its own opportunity.”
