Adult star Will Pounder picked up the Best Male Newcomer trophy at the 2020 AVN Awards at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on January 25, 2020
The fresh-faced and unflagging six-foot performer tweeted after the win that he was “honored to have even been nominated Best Male Newcomer but I’m blown away that I won! Thank you so much to the women I have worked and directors I’ve worked with.”
One of those directors, multi-award winner Jacky St. James, commented, “Will is a refreshing addition to the industry. He’s got the work ethic, the professionalism, and the positivity to ensure him a long career for him in this business. It is always a sincere joy to have him on set.”
St. James recently cast Pounder opposite blonde seductress Lena Anderson in “Step Siblings 3”, the latest chapter of the acclaimed series from fauxcest-themed studio Family Sinners.
A health & fitness advocate and mixed martial artist, Pounder served in the U.S. Marine Corps for five years, from 2007 – 2012, and competed on weekends. He taught the All-Marine Grappling Team, ran the All-Marine Competition Team at Camp Pendleton, and started the jiu-jitsu club in Miramar in 2008.
“In those jiu-jitsu days I was known as a black belt killer,” remembered Pounder, “submitting black belts, which is extremely rare.”
After appearing on the TV series “A Grunt’s Life,” Pounder joined the adult industry in 2017.
“I’m so grateful for the acknowledgement of my hard work all last year,” Pounder added. “I started shooting porn because I lost a bet, and now I’m shooting almost every single day and building a career as Will Pounder!”
In addition to his traditional scene work, the rock-steady Pounder has become known as the king of VR scenes, frequently anchoring shoots for companies such as VR Bangers, Pornhub Originals VR, and WankzVR.
