The gala awards event takes place Jan. 25 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
Iconic adult film star and Vixen Angel Riley Steele has received a 2020 AVN Awards nomination for Best Boy/Girl Sex Scene for her exceptional work in “The Wedding Singer”.
Directed by AVN Hall of Famer Kayden Kross for Blacked, the urban imprint created by Greg Lansky, the scene features Steele as a bride who suffers from a serious case of cold feet . . . until she meets the wedding singer (Jason Luv), who is more than happy to help warm her up.
The critically-acclaimed release represents Steele’s first interracial performance.
“I’m so happy to be recognized for my work this year,” said Steele. “I’ve had the best time filming and I can’t wait for the awards!”
Director Kayden Kross was thrilled by news of the nomination. “Riley and I go way back and I love her dearly,” said Kross. “Directing this scene was a highlight of my career and I gave it all I’ve got. The results were tremendous: Riley did some of the best work I’ve ever seen from her and I’m so happy with what we created. The critical validation of its nomination is icing on the cake.”
“I think Riley has just hit her stride,” Kross added, “and there is so much more that I hope to do with her.”
A winner of dozens of adult industry awards since her 2008 debut, Steele also found crossover success with the 2010 mainstream film “Piranha 3D”, starring Richard Dreyfuss, Ving Rhames and Elisabeth Shue, along with appearances on TV series such as Spike TV’s “Manswers” and Cinemax’s “Life on Top”
“The Wedding Singer” is available on the Blacked official website, and as part of the DVD release of Kross-directed scenes, “Black & White 16”, from Blacked/Pulse Distribution, that features Steele as box cover model.
Steele’s nomination comes as “Black & White 16” sits atop AVN’s November 2019 Top Sales and Rentals chart.
