Ryan Anthony Weyandt, Ex-CEO of LGBTQ+ Real Estate Group, Charged with CSAM Possession

Former CEO of the LGTBQ+ Real Estate Alliance, Ryan Anthony Weyandt, has been charged with 5 counts of possessing CSAM material (child porn).
In an investigation late last year, charges allege that Weyandt, 39, of Apple Valley, MN, downloaded thousands of child sexual abuse images containing minor males.
Court documents state Weyandt told investigators, “I have an issue,” and blamed it on drugs.
Weyandt was charged and arrested two weeks ago, but he is out of custody on $150,000 bond.

In other Weyandt news, a  judge has ruled in favor of the LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance in its fight with Weyandt over control of the nonprofit’s website and several digital accounts.

The July 25 ruling first reported by Inman came nearly four weeks after the Alliance filed its civil lawsuit against Weyandt on July 1 in Minnesota District Court. The filing accused Weyandt of violating trade secrets laws and blocking leaders within the organization from accessing their company accounts after resigning from his leadership position in December 2024.

What the lawsuit claims: After his resignation, the Alliance said it asked Weyandt to remove himself from the nonprofit’s website, payroll, bank business and social media accounts, among others.

“Between January 2025 and June 2025, Defendant promised to cooperate with Alliance’s requests. Despite repeated promises, Defendant failed to cooperate,” the filing claimed.

In June, Weyandt is alleged to have violated state and federal trade secrets laws by accessing the Alliance’s contact list of over 10,000 agents, potential homebuyers and sellers, real estate influencers and others within the industry.

The filing claimed that Weyandt emailed the list on June 25 saying he was taking control of fiduciary oversight at the nonprofit “because ‘Alliance is currently in a state of collapse,'” which the filing said “is false and threatens to undermine Alliance’s reputation and credibility to its customers, and in its industry.”

Preliminary injunction request granted: Late last week, U.S. District Judge Eric Tostrud granted the Alliance’s request for a preliminary injunction, which the organization had sought to block Weyandt from accessing its accounts.

Weyandt wrote that he responded on June 30 to a cease-and-desist letter from the Alliance, in which he said he “had not misused any credentials, that my Google Workspace admin access was already frozen, and that the master website credentials remained secured solely for neutral transfer to a court-approved receiver or the Attorney General’s Office.”

Separate criminal charges filed: In a July 24 filing, Tostrud noted that both parties were cooperating on a resolution when Weyandt faced unrelated charges filed in the Dakota County District Court on July 18. Court filings show that Weyandt is facing felony charges regarding the alleged possession of pornographic work involving minors.

In the wake of those new charges, “Mr. Weyandt has been unable or unwilling to cooperate further regarding the accounts’ return,” Tostrud’s order said.

What the Alliance had to say: Weyandt “made completely baseless claims that he could not substantiate in court,” the LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance said in a statement shared with Real Estate News.

“Because of his illegal actions we were forced to file a lawsuit in Federal court. We initially came to a stipulated agreement with Ryan on the record, and the judge later granted our motion for a temporary injunction. The Court’s Order prohibits Ryan from holding himself out as having the authority to act or speak on behalf of the Alliance. The Court also ordered Ryan to turn over all assets to the Alliance. So far Ryan has cooperated. Because we remain in litigation, we can’t comment further.”
