Substance abuse counselor sentenced for sex with men in custody

Woman sentenced for ‘sexually assaulting’ two willing men

Rachele Johnson, 26, a counselor at a substance abuse treatment center in Michigan dodged jail time on Tuesday but was sentenced to five years’ probation and ordered to attend therapy after pleading guilty to fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct, misconduct in office and furnishing a cellphone to a prisoner.

The disgraced counselor will also have to register as a sex offender after admitting she had sex with two men in custody.

Johnson worked as a counselor at the House of Commons, a court-mandated, state-run substance abuse treatment center. She worked nights, so often was the only counselor there if the men living there needed anything.

Johnson had sex with two men who were living at House of Commons.

Although the men claimed they were not victims, Johnson’s status as a Community Mental Health Authority of Clinton, Eaton, Ingham Counties employee means the men would not have been able to consent to sex, Ingham County Chief Assistant Prosecutor Lisa McCormick said.

Ingham County Circuit Court Judge Joyce Draganchuk said there was no evidence that Johnson used her authority status to coerce the men into sex. She also praised Johnson for taking the initiative to go to therapy to sort out her mental health.

While working at the House of Commons, Johnson provided the men with cell phones and allowed them to leave to purchase alcohol, one of the men she assaulted testified at the preliminary hearing.

He described their relationship as “flirty,” and said he would go into the property room with Johnson, where there were no cameras. He testified that Johnson made up a phony doctors appointment so they could be together outside of the house.

Johnson was sentenced for misconduct in office, furnishing a cell phone to a prisoner and two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct. Six charges of second-degree criminal sexual conduct, harboring escapees and providing contraband in prison were dismissed.

  1. This woman is lucky the prosecuting attorney didn’t push the added fornication and CSC 1st charges that would have been legally possible from this incident. WTF led this chick to fuck her patients — Dr. Cocaine and Dr. Benzo?
