In reply to Removed Account. The doctor stated he had c-4 explosive to a security agent while being asked what was in his bag. Tweeting after the fact with #kidding is not quite a similar thing, almost at all. I mean it's silly/dumb, but isn't the same as a bomb threat and evacuation.

I don't know anything about Jessa other than what is said here and on her Wikipedia page but unfortunately I have to agree with you for once regarding her apparent intelligence, Hop. Jessa was either higher/drunker than the town OxyContin abuser/drunk when she posted this comment or is not that intelligent. I do know that the picture on her Wikipedia article shows her face well and it looks like a 40 year old's face, not 21 as is claimed in the article. That and her Twitter comment makes me wonder if she leads a hard life.

There have been quite a few cases of people making “jokes” or off hand comments and as a result have been arrested in the news. I don’t get what she was thinking with that tweet. One guy, a doctor, was even fined $90k for such a joke.

I don't know if they would go so far as to place a US citizen (I think she was born here, anyway) on the do not fly list but she might very well lose her Pre Check privileges and be subject to a full pat-down by a pervert male TSA agent or even a strip-search every time she flies for the foreseeable future.

While I get it was meant as a joke, and just a repeat of what was overheard, I think Jessa will soon find out the government doesn’t have a sense of humor about such things and she may soon find herself on the do not fly list.

Per the note below that she was actually tweeting about something she overheard – and not something she actually did – unless that’s an airport without a body screener, its unlikely that it happened at all. The whole reason for going through those body screening machines is that they look inside you because the bad guys are trying to make bombs they could sew up inside you – coke, or some other contraband, shoved up your rectum would show up on the body scan.

Here’s how sensitive those machines can be. I fly frequently for work. I am not muscle man – heck, I’m almost 60 years old. However, I work out a lot and lift weights, so I have a little more muscle mass than the average guy my age and size according to the machine. I am patted down on almost every flight because the machine says there’s something not right about my triceps, biceps or pecs.
