Joe, I only wish bad things on people that do bad things themselves. That is the difference between what I do and what Adriana and Jaxton did. August didn’t do a damn thing to deserve the ridiculous roasting that she received. As for Adriana “disagreeing”, the way she did it was beyond the pale. She called August a homophobe and a sexual bigot without using those words. It wasn’t just one or two posts disagreeing with her, it was a roasting. Have I crossed the line and bullied someone without cause? Maybe, I am not perfect. However, in general I think the people I have “bullied” deserve it. August did not.

As for August’s comment on industry testing procedures, she was actually correct. Most gay sets don’t require testing, they used to require condoms instead but I have heard that has mostly gone away as well and the attitude that all gay performers are going to get AIDS anyway is rampant in that sector of the business. It would be interesting to ask Laura DeMerchant if one of the reasons she quit producing gay porn is because she couldn’t stomach that attitude.

Also, thank you, fadedovoxoxo for your defense and explanation of my position as well as a summary of what August went through and Adriana did to her. He is correct, it isn’t “bullying” if you bully a bully. Welcome to MikeSouth.com and I hope to see more comments from you in the future.

Disagreeing isn’t considered bullying and the bullying of August Ames by Adriana Chechik wasn’t over a single tweet, it was over the previous year where August Ames told many of those close to her how mean Adriana Chechik was to her.

First of all, Adriana wasn’t just disagreeing. She was also implying that August was some sort of malicious homophobe. That refused to work with gay men because of her supposed “hate” for them. Which is clearly untrue, since Ames is bisexual and all. When in reality Ames was actually concerned about her own health because of the rampant HIV in the gay male community. Could she have been wrong about the testing procedures? Sure, but that just makes her misinformed NOT a homophobe. Falsely labeling her as one when she has NEVER said anything hateful about LGBT people, is what made it bullying. It WAS an attack on her character. Being called a homophobe when you’re not one IS “being called names”. Being publicly shamed into apologizing for something you are not, IS “humiliation”. It was still considered bullying before she killed herself. Twitter SJW’s do it all the time to anyone who isn’t PC. They try to justify their toxic behavior by claiming they are defending an “oppressed” group. Which is exactly what Adriana did. Normally they just get people banned or Fired. This time they lost the “moral high ground” when Ames killed herself. If Ames was alive, I guarantee that they wouldn’t have stopped until she was blacklisted. That’s what they do. They wait until someone steps out of line, then they swarm like wasps. Her suicide shattered their phony “good guy” act. That’s why they all abandoned ship and hopped on the RIP Ames bandwagon so quickly.

P.S. It’s not really bullying if you bully, a bully.
Bullying requires 2 things: An unfair advantage + An unwilling or Innocent victim.

Sure, but lets say Adriana killed herself next week and this blog post and subsequent fallout from it was cited as a reason.

Is it only bullying if someone dies? Is it only bullying if you don’t like someone?

My point is , bullying in this whole August Ames story seems to have the goalposts moving based on who likes who; and the anger comes from the unanticipated result .

This blog post could be considered bullying because it is personally attacking her. But because this crowd doesn’t like her, and she has not committed suicide, she “deserves it”.

I have no horse in the race, I don’t know her. I am just trying to put a point out there for people to ponder. Don’t be so critical of online bullying when you are throwing rocks from your own glass house.

Context. If it adds fuel to a fire.

For instance, the words “Let’s go” in and of themselves aren’t criminal. But if a murderous lynch mob has assembled, that same statement might very well be an incitement, in that context.

I’m not equating Chechik’s statements with those of the psychotic Jaxton Wheeler, but, to answer your question: context is everything.

I assume you saw Adriana’s original tweet in reply to August Ames’ crossover tweet.

I have posed this question on this blog before and it does not get answered. The question is:

How is disagreeing with someone considered bullying? She did not call August names, attack her, humiliate her, etc. She said she disagreed and explained why. Jaxton’s tweet was a direct attack wishing for her to die.

SO, why is disagreeing considered bullying today?

That is what Adriana gets for essentially killing someone without cause. I wouldn’t want to hire her for any production I was responsible for, either. I am not against telling it like it is but August didn’t hurt anyone from reports I have read. Jaxton and Adriana should have left her alone. If someone doesn’t want to work with men that perform in gay movies that is his/her choice and doesn’t make him/her a bad person. I hope Adriana does have to resort to Craigslist or standing on Hollywood Blvd. fucking johns for $50 each to survive. That sounds cruel but she needs to learn her lesson and that is the best method we have to accomplish that objective.
