That is a possibility, Karma. I don’t know if Lansky is “making bank” but he seems to be doing well. I don’t think an “alt” chick site is going to do as well as Lansky’s — he seems to have more class in one finger than Skanky does in her whole body (even though he wears weird looking clothes) but MindGeek may be using the general idea to create a site built around tatted skanks. In the case of Bonnie Rotten being star talent they can call it “The Only Site You Can Smell Through Your Monitor” or “Ugliest Chicks In Porn”. Maybe if they take a cue from Facial/Latina Abuse or everyone’s least favorite “porn” producing punching bags Max Hardcore and Rob “Methhead” Black they will have something — people probably want to see these C-List felon (or at least they look like they spent time at a California women’s prison) chicks gag fucked and tortured.

Joe, I have a different hypothesis as to what is going on with Skanky and Brazzers. I suspect either they are starting another site with the hardcore scenes Skanky was known for or Brazzers, Digital Playground, et. al. are going to turn toward more hardcore content and Skanky is their star talent for such content. There is no way in hell MindGeek thinks they can incorporate Z-list skanky talent like Bonnie Rotten into their current sites as-is. There is no mainstream call for Skanky, period and MindGeek management knows that. They have something up their sleeves to make use of Skanky that hasn’t been announced as of yet. Skanky could also be their next director and be directing scenes for MindGeek (at least until she shows up on set to direct high out of her mind on whatever drugs she has to be on to think tatted up and not taking a shower for weeks at a time is attractive), not performing in them — her Twitter post doesn’t claim she will be performing for them, just that she has a contract with them.

Kind of reminds me of when Asa went to Wicked. Her fanbase ignored a lot of her scenes (mostly due to condoms would be my assumption); so they likely did not get good return based on sales. She did do well in mainstream work so they probably felt it was a good contract over all, but as far as selling porn she went from the near top of the mountain to way way down during her Wicked years. her fanbase did not come to wicked with her.

I am not sure if this will be a great return on the money for Brazzers. She had a big fan base, but they were a fan base of the hardcore, DP, Double anal, choking, and so forth type of porn. She won’t be doing that kind of work with Brazzers. A lot of her fans will be excited and maybe get a membership, but after a few “normal” scenes they are likely to move on hoping she will leave Brazzers one day and do something more extreme.

I enjoyed quite a few of her scenes. She is a “niche” in the way she looks and so without her hardcore fanbase coming to Brazzers, she may not be as big of a seller as they hope other than her first half dozen shoots.
