Porn legend Ben Dover, (who is also the father of British sitcom star Tyger Drew-Honey) has been given the all clear after a battle with bladder cancer. Dover revealed he is on the road to recovery after a year of chemotherapy at St Peter’s Hospital in Chertsey, Surrey.
Dover, who is one of the adult industry’s most famous names in Europe both for starring in and producing porn films, thanked medical staff as well as his actor son, 22, of the long-running tv series “Outnumbered”, for helping him beat the illness.
Dover said: ‘Tyger has been brilliant. Like me he was really upset when we first learned the news, but he’s been there for me all the way – especially during the dark days.
“He’s been busy with new TV projects but always found the time to take me to chemo when I’ve needed it.”
Dover, who starred in more than 130 erotic films, explained, “Although I have to go back for regular check-ups for the next ten years, specialists have given me the all clear for now.”
Ben is jetting off to Spain to celebrate his victory over bladder cancer with Tyger, alongside his ex-wife Linzi Drew. Drew was a glamour model, video porn star (she gave it up when Tyger was born) and the editor of the British edition of adult magazine Penthouse.
Tyger previously revealed that he was bullied at his private school, Epsom College, about what his parents did – but never showed them how much it hurt.
