Sam, I have to agree with most of your comment. I didn’t intend to say I would become “PC”. I certainly won’t. However, I admit I am guilty of some pretty nasty comments over the years (although not on Twitter — I barely use my account there — they are too quick to shut down an account and I don’t need that fight). Even if I have never crossed the line (that isn’t for me to determine) August’s experience and ultimate death has made me think a bit about my own past. In her case a couple of people’s comments to her not only crossed the line, they shit and pissed all over it then dropped a nuke bomb on it! The PC bullshit that caused August to kill herself was asinine and Jaxton Wheeler deserves to take a lead pipe jammed directly down the throat and up the ass for his comments. Saying he deserves to suffer for his actions isn’t in the same league as telling someone to “take a cyanide pill” and he actually caused great pain which August did not — IMO that is the difference. Maybe I am wrong but that is the way I feel. Jessica Drake didn’t go as far as Jaxton but I hope she does some deep soul searching and possibly schedules an appointment with a psychiatrist to discuss why she is the porn village idiot. August Ames, RIP and I hope we all learn from this one — even though I haven’t ever said a word to her and certainly didn’t contribute to her death I think even I have learned something about human nature from her awful experience and suicide.

As for feminists, there are only 20 in the entire world and only two live in the US. Unless your name is Lorelei Lee or Madeline Marlowe if you live in the US you aren’t a feminist. I haven’t checked Lorelei’s Twitter in the past few days but I would have a hard time imagining her telling anyone to go kill themselves or that a person doesn’t have the right to control whose dicks or cunts are used to fuck them (she has actually said more times than I can count that women should have full control over their bodies). You can say a lot of things about Madeline but I doubt she would knock a performer for having and using a “no” list, either.

What’s notable to me is that August’s online lynch mob consisted entirely of self-proclaimed ‘progressives’. These social justice warriors, the PC crowd, and LGBT “community” members are fucking authoritarian tyrants. It was’t the so-called intolerant right wing who bullied her to death, it was leftist PC nutcases who attacked her for not following their fucking talking points. The saddest part is that so many sex workers are fucking delusional about feminists, the gay advocacy movement, the post-modernists, and the social justice crowd. Morons like jessica drake, Connor Habib and Sinn Sage are examples on this ridiculous and deadly trend.

I’ve been accused by a demented reader of regurgitating FSC talking points. Allow me to dispel this fantasy once and for all. When FSC rescinded Ron Jeremy’s image award, they completed their journey down the rabbit hole of intersectional, LGBTQI and sometimes Y, special snowflake, check your privilege bullshit. Obviously Eric has never read, or understood, George Orwell’s work. We are allowing individuals to be made into Unpersons. Tearing down statues of historical figures because they were flawed. This is the OPPOSITE of what we should do. We need those reminders; we should be able to look at them and say, “Okay, this is who this person was.” You don’t take away O.J.’s Heisman Trophy, and you don’t ban unpopular ideas.

Read some Jefferson, or Payne or Kant. Their ideas about free inquiry helped form the foundation of our society. Popular speech does not need protection because… well because it’s popular. It is unpopular speech that our constitution was written to protect. August Ames, whether one agrees with her or not, is a martyr to free speech and open debate.

I am not perfect myself, even an attempt at constructive criticism can be phrased wrong or be done at the wrong time. To get my wrath a person usually has to do something extremely stupid (like drive someone to kill herself, fuck up his wife/girlfriend/scene partner or hit some director chick on the noggin unprovoked with a beer bottle at the AVN convention — yes, the last one actually happened) but I get it wrong on occasion. However, I have never told someone to go kill themselves over her not working with (as far as August knew) a pitcher and catcher in the gay porn “hit parade” (actually, my memory could be faulty but I don’t recall telling someone directly to go kill themselves via social media other than maybe Uncle Peg — who was the one that hit the director chick on the noggin with a glass beer bottle and broke it over her head unprovoked among 500 other nasty things to porn people). Maybe I will remember what happened here when I am tempted to make a nasty comment to someone and save them for those that really deserve it. Maybe it will make me too conservative in this regard, I don’t know.

As for the comments shown in the attached video about August, her lips might have been objectionable to some fans (she was far from my type but still didn’t deserve the barrage of nasty comments — I don’t recall hearing of her being a scumbag, I tend to aim my nasty comments at obvious scumbags anyway) but where the fuck is the fat? I don’t see any fat whatsoever in pictures of her taken while she was in the adult film industry, actually she was unhealthily thin.
