Sadly his passing went virtually unnoticed immediately, If not for a New York Times post of his Obituary.
Just who was he
A ballet dancer and choreographer, who evolved and became a gay porn producer of renown, as controversial as he was a man of the arts. He was alarmed and not accepting of how gay porn was produced then. Well then came a true pioneer in the 1970s, He was defined as groundbreaking when he began filming with superior equipment for his time, as he produced softcore gay scenes with actual lines.
Mr. Poole wanted to leave a certain sense of feeling, that left straight and gay alike feeling proud of their sexuality, a remarkable accomplishment for his time. Many celebs such as Liza Menelli, fashion designer Halston, Rudolf Nureyev, and others found his work note-worthy.
