As we reported earlier this evening, adult film starlet Sofia Moon has died in her native Wisconsin, where she was spending the quarantine with her family.
Moon, 20, died of complications from taking the prescription drug Percocet (or what she thought was percocet) which, according to her agents, the beleaguered Society 15 Models, had not been prescribed.
This is no doubt a devastatingly sad time for Moon’s family and friends, and we extend out deepest condolences.
How could this have happened, you may wonder.
James Bartholet had Moon on his Galaxy Publicity roster. Sofia Moon was also a frequent co-host Bartholet’s weekly radio show, “Inside the Industry.”
Society 15, readers may recall, is the agency that reps Carolina Cortez, the sex worker who, while working as an escort, brought rapper Mac Miller some of the drugs that killed him, according to the feds.
Miller died from taking counterfeit “pressed pills”, and Society 15’s Nina Elle has stated that Moon “went home to be with her family and in that time ended up doing some bad Percocets.”
Strange coincidence, huh?
Sofia Moon had been close friends with Violet Rain, the adult starlet who died in March 2019 at age 19 due to the combined effects of cocaine, alcohol “and other undetermined factors”.
Moon had also been friends with Aspen Rose, another troubled ex-performer and … errrr… “party girl.”
Moon, who was of Guatemalan descent, was tossed out of AVN 2019 after getting into a fight with adult starlet Melody Parker.
In her short time in the adult business, the troubled Moon had gone through three talent agencies: Hussie Models, 101 Modeling, and Society 15.
AVN reports:
Train, the co-owner of Society 15, said he had just spoken to Moon two nights ago.
“She was bubbly and high energy,” Train said. “She had a great spirit, loved the business, loved the job. She worked hard… She was a dancer originally. She was always dancing and full of energy.”
