Some sad news to report in this update: friends of veteran adult performer / director Brandon Iron (a.k.a. Brandon Irons) and the mother of his child confirm that the AVN Hall of Famer, missing since April, died by his own hand in Ireland.
MikeSouth.com broke the story of Iron’s strange disappearance on July 31.
At the time his passing, Iron had recently gone through a break-up with his girlfriend, who is the mother of his young daughter. Some say she kicked him out of the house and found a new man. Brandon soon went MIA.
After friends and business associates began expressing concern because they could not reach Iron, his ex went looking for him and found him dead in a Dublin loft. Reports indicate that Iron had hanged himself.
A memorial is planned, but details are not yet available.
The native of Calgary, Alberta, Canada was born 51 years ago, on July 14, 1968.
Iron’s iafd page lists over 1200 performer credits. Already a commenter at MikeSouth.com, in 2016, Brandon became a contributing writer.
Missing in Ireland
In recent weeks, not even Irons’ video distributor had heard from him. Text messages and DMs to the missing 2018 AVN Hall of Famer had gone unreturned.
“He makes a living off his content, so he really goes after tubes etc.”, a source revealed. “Now it’s all over the place. Meaning he is not protecting his income.”
If he quit to lay low, [he] would have deleted Twitter like everybody else who quits.
No one of his close friends has heard from him in months.
Recently, social media posts such as this had begun popping up:
Man of Iron
Irons began performing in 1991. In recent years, he had been producing independent content for sale at ManyVids while living in the Republic of Ireland.
His last sardonic tweet from March 2019:
Rest in Peace, Brandon.

I agree. RIP, Brandon. Once he figured out I wasn’t mocking him and actually don’t believe in stealing porn movies on the tubes I found Brandon to be a nice person. I wish someone had known what he was thinking and talked him out of suicide. This is especially bad because (evidently) his corpse wasn’t found right away and there may not be the option of an open casket at the visitation. I also feel sorry for the woman that found him in that condition, it is bad enough to find someone after he dies but to have to walk in and find a hanging corpse that had been decomposing for a few days (or longer) has to be especially upsetting and macabre.
godspeed… loss for words.
