Veteran director of photography Sal Genoa reports that former Red Light District, Anabolic/Diabolic and Combat Zone director and cameraman Robbie Fischer (a.k.a. Robbie Fisher) has died.
Genoa was informed of Robbie’s death by his brother, and says that a memorial will take place on August 11.
According to iafd, Fischer/Fisher was active in the adult world from 1994 – 2007. His AVN profile page displays 22 boxcovers of his work.
According to a press release, in May 2004, after more than a year at Red Light District, he moved over to Anabolic and Diabolic Video Productions. Genoa was on the Anabolic / Diabolic roster at the same time.
At the time of his move, Fischer said “I will continue what I have been doing and step it up a notch. I want to make sure that any DVD with the words ‘Captured By Robbie Fischer’ means the highest quality porn out there.”
When Dion Giarrusso opened the doors to his new gonzo company Combat Zone in January 2006, Giarrusso bragged to AVN that his long-time friend Fischer had agreed to be a videographer for then company.
