Sure, but death is as natural as living. I think it’s sad to see people go out that way and I definitely do not advocate it. I won’t go out that way. Most of what I say is metaphoric, but I’m not afraid of dying. I’m afraid of slipping away in my sleep and not being aware of it. I don’t want to go out unconscious. I don’t want to miss it. Is that weird?

i hear ya. i just think some artists don’t know how to get sober after a high. they end up self-destructing and hurting themselves.
