IIRC she also won it during her second. Lena Paul has been in the industry for about two years now so by all rights she should have at least been considered. I am not going to attempt to read the minds of the AVN editorial board but she is hotter and a better performer than some others on the list (I am not going to rattle off names, you can read other comments I have made over the years to figure that one out). I am not accusing AVN of trading ad revenue for nominations and awards but I am perplexed about this one.

She started porn in 2016. That means she didn’t even qualify for best new starlet nom until 2018.

She did get 3 regular noms though, 2 for Best Group Sex Scene and one for Best Three-Way Sex Scene – Boy/Boy/Girl. That’s a lot for someone so new.

It’s based on the movies she was in, not the agency she is with. The producers/directors are the ones who either didn’t nominate her or the movie(s) she starred in for them, or as you said, didn’t pay enough in advertising to get their movies and/or stars of said movie recognized. It’s XBIZ who nominates based on the tables purchased for the nomination party / awards show. OC Modeling is pretty much the only one coughing up the money for a table lately and as you see, they got all the nominations and awards last year for xbiz.
