Very True, Mr. Big. However, even with the shittiest ACA policy she shouldn’t need $50K. She should have saved something to handle such an event, I can see where she needs assistance but don’t get greedy. The ACA maximum deductible for one person is $6500 per year and that is only on the shittiest policy. Her four months is all in 2019 so a second year’s deductible isn’t an issue. Breast reconstruction is a covered benefit when the removal is from cancer. She might need $5000 a month to live, that brings us up to $26,500. Even if she needs $5K for transportation, prescription deductibles and possible in-home nursing (most ACA policies cover in-home nursing but OK) she should only be asking for about $32,000.

I wish Marica the best and hope her breast cancer is in remission very soon. However, $50K is breathtaking and an overreach.
