“All videos uploaded to YouTube must comply with our community guidelines, which prohibit content that’s main or sole purpose is to drive people off YouTube and onto another site,” a spokesperson for YouTube told me in an email.

I mean seriously they flat out told them the reason they were banned – duh! Because they were spamming. YouTube even told them as much and youtube has even given them prior warnings, the first of which dates back two years. WTF did they expect?

I’m sorry but YouTube flat out said why they banned this channel – it was because they were considered spamming the service – has nothing to do with porn.

There is a very fine line between creating content that promotes your channel that then can promote your website and creating content for the sole purpose of promoting your website.

If you cross that line once or twice you are forgiven, but if you do it repeatedly over a period of 2 years and were warned about it in the past, well … what did you expect YouTube to do? They were trying to use YouTube to push traffic to their website. You can’t do that – porn or not.

The only way you can do this is to pay for advertising. Then it’s a very different story. 😛 But seriously, they were nailed as spammers, not for being pornographers.
